Breaking: Cruz Just Hit Back At Boehner’s Lucifer Comments – Boehner Who?

An earlier report showed that former Speaker of the House, John Boehner, is clearly not a big fan of presidential candidate, Ted Cruz.

Boehner, long an establishment failure for ceding to nearly every Obama demand during his time in office, seems to have taken exception to Cruz who has actually tried to stop the President’s agenda.

Boehner referred to the Texas senator as “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “jackass” before adding, “I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Miserable? Apparently the Speaker was not privy to a mirror during his tenure …

Misery aside, Cruz has fired back at Boehner saying basically – Who the hell is he? Never met him.

Via Fox News Insider:

Cruz, campaigning with his VP choice Carly Fiorina in Indiana, responded by saying he doesn’t know Boehner and has barely talked to him during his time in the Senate.

“I’ve never worked with John Boehner. The truth of the matter is I don’t know the man. I’ve met John Boehner two or three times in my life,” said Cruz, adding that he’s never had a “substantive” conversation with him.

Cruz said during the government shutdown, he and Sen. Mike Lee reached out to the then-Speaker, trying to work with him on “getting something meaningful done” to stop ObamaCare.

“His response was ‘I have no interest in talking to you,'” Cruz recalled.

He argued that Boehner is “angry” that Cruz is standing up for conservative principles in Washington and trying to hold him accountable.

Cruz is right, when Boehner said he had “no interest in talking to you”, what he meant was he’s not interested in discussing ways to stop the President’s wildly unpopular agenda. In turn, he wasn’t interested in discussing conservatism.

To be sure, ObamaCare isn’t the only failure on Boehner’s miserable resume. Multiple submissions on the debt ceiling fight come to mind.

Cal Thomas wrote about the Speaker saying, “conservative members want to see their convictions articulated by the leadership and to fight the left with conviction in hopes that getting their positions heard will influence voters,” something Boehner failed to accomplish.

Thomas continued, “In too many instances, conservatives have seen their views ignored and the Republican leadership in both houses knuckle under to Democrats out of fear of being called names or getting blamed for a government shutdown.”

Or out of fear of being called ‘Lucifer.’

  1. John Boehner??? Who is he?
Oh, I remember, he was the underling ally to Obama and helped bring down America.
Why would anyone listen to this fool.
He was in Congress over 25 years and didn’t do a damn thing to help America.
He was a wimping slave to the system led by the Democrats.

  2. Cruz’s statements might have flown, EXCEPT for one thing. Boehner is just one in a long and growing list of GOP Congresscritters and former Congresscritters, who have expressed similar dislike or even hatred for Cruz. They don’t like Cruz because, if you won’t donate to his campaign, then he doesn’t care what you think and if you donate enough, he’ll flip-flop in a heartbeat.
