Reality looked like an episode of the Twilight Zone for a brief moment following an arrest at an event held by the “Smithfield Pig Save Vigil.” The vigil was being held by the animal rights group Smithfield Pig Save, which describes itself as “aim[ing] to bring awareness to the plight of factory farmed pigs, and to help people live cruelty free lives.”
No context was provided for the arrest. But a video posted by the activist group was captioned with “We couldn’t be more proud to have brave activists like Dimitri joining us at Smithfield Pig Save vigils!”
You may have noticed that the man arrested in the video (Dimitri) was wearing a “Black Lives Matter” t-shirt, which led to this epic photo from the aftermath…
What do you think was going through both their heads? Both their expressions are priceless.
And it’s especially ironic, given the anti-police stance of Black Lives Matter. Here is a black police officer arresting a whiny liberal protester. I bet the arrested man is beyond confused! Perhaps he’ll rethink his support of a group that openly defies the police and law-abiding Americans.
