Biden Suggests Americans Limit Thanksgiving Gatherings In Their Own Homes, Wear Masks

Joe Biden recommends Americans limit their Thanksgiving gatherings to within five and ten people, and adhere to current protocols such as social distancing and mask-wearing in their own home.

Biden, the media-declared president-elect, made his advisement citing “health experts” during a press conference Monday.

“Let me tell you what health experts have said to me,” the former vice president said.

“They strongly urge that, if, in fact, we’re going to have Thanksgiving with anyone, that we limit it to … five people, maximum 10 people, socially distanced, wearing masks, and people who have quarantined,” he added.

Biden reiterated the call to limit groups to ten people “inside the home” and hoped that people would be able “to be together next Thanksgiving” and “next Christmas.”

Joe Biden Says He Will Limit His Own Thanksgiving Gathering

Biden stated that he and his family would actually be practicing what they preach – scaling back their own family gathering.

“Jill and I spent this morning, like many of you, trying to figure out what are we going to do for Thanksgiving? How are we going to do it?” he told reporters.

He added that they “would narrow down which family members” would be able to attend and insisted on assurances “that they were tested, recently tested, within 24 hours.”

Biden also noted, “There’s nothing macho about not wearing a mask.”

Biden says the ONLY way you should be allowed to have Thanksgiving is if everyone wears masks, stays socially distanced, tests negative on the day before, and keeps it to no more than five or ten.

The ‘health experts’ have had some interesting thoughts on how to combat the pandemic during the holidays as we see a rise in cases across the country. 

Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested Americans rethink their Thanksgiving gatherings altogether.

“You may have to bite the bullet and sacrifice that social gathering, unless you’re pretty certain that the people that you’re dealing with are not infected,” Fauci said.

“It is unfortunate, because that’s such a sacred part of American tradition — the family gathering around Thanksgiving,” he added. “But that is a risk.”

Dr. Michael Osterholm, a COVID adviser for Joe Biden, called for a four- to six-week national lockdown to help drive down infection numbers.

Meanwhile, people like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot are ‘canceling’ Thanksgiving for their residents while openly flaunting their own protocols, and others like Oregon governor Kate Brown threaten jail time if anyone fails to follow her lockdown rules.
