President Biden has put Kamala Harris in charge of expanding voter access through such methods as vote-by-mail and early voting, something they define as ‘protecting voting rights.’
Biden announced the Vice President’s new role at an event marking the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre.
The President referenced specific efforts by Republicans in several states to shore up election integrity, an effort cast by the media as ‘voter suppression.’
“To signify the importance of our efforts, today I’m asking Vice President Harris to help these efforts and lead them among her many other responsibilities,” Biden said.
“With her leadership and your support, we’re going to overcome again, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot of work.”
He referred to efforts to ensure legal and accurate voting as a “truly unprecedented assault on our democracy.”

Kamala Harris, Elections Czar
Harris responded to her new role by issuing a statement ensuring Americans will have “a right to have their voice heard at the ballot box.”
Those rights include, as she states, that “no American should be kept from voting early, voting by mail, or voting at all.”
“These bills seek to restrict the options that make voting more convenient and accessible, including early voting and vote by mail,” Harris said referencing Republican-led legislatures in states such as Georgia, Florida, and Arizona, who have attempted to overhaul procedures that would ensure the integrity of our elections.
The Vice President will most likely seize the effort to expand these methods even further.
This is, after all, the same woman who was open to a suggestion that felons should be given the right to vote, saying, “We should have that conversation.”
She later backpedaled: “Do I think that people who commit murder, people who are terrorists, should be deprived of their rights? Yeah, I do.”
“The work ahead of us is to make voting accessible to all American voters,” Harris now says, “and to make sure every vote is counted through a free, fair, and transparent process.”
“It’s simply un-American” @JoeBiden urges voting rights advocates to ramp up efforts to overcome what he says are voter suppression efforts in states.

Making A Mockery Of Elections
Nowhere in Harris’ statement is recognition of the fact that Democrats have been pursuing expansion of voter ‘rights’ that are making a mockery of our elections.
A Pennsylvania state court’s ruling that permitted ballots to be counted up to three days after Election Day this past presidential cycle is a primary example.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, writing in his dissent to a decision not to hear a challenge to the Pennsylvania mail-in voting procedures, claimed the institution had invited an “erosion of voter confidence.”

“The decision to leave election law hidden beneath a shroud of doubt is baffling,” Thomas wrote. “By doing nothing, we invite further confusion and erosion of voter confidence. Our fellow citizens deserve better and expect more of us.”
By doing nothing, they’ve also empowered Democrats to take even more extreme measures, including pushing H.R. 1 or the ‘For the People Act,’ something Hans von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation describes as “a federal takeover and nationalization of … elections.”
“It would change election rules to make it easier to cheat and easier to manipulate election results,” von Spakovsky adds.
“It’s designed to restrict and chill speech, political speech, and political activity … This is one of the worst bills I’ve ever seen in my years in Washington.”
Kamala Harris defended the bill in her statement, saying it “would provide all Americans with fair and accessible voting options” and the administration would “work with members of Congress to help advance” it.
Today, Texas legislators advanced a bill attacking the right to vote. It’s yet another assault on our democracy. Congress needs to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
We need to make it easier for eligible voters to vote. Not harder.

It seems safe to say Harris will actually make a move on her new role.
As opposed to the border debacle, where she has now gone 70 days without holding a press conference on the humanitarian crisis at the southern border since being tapped by Biden as the lead on the migrant surge.
