Former President Barack Obama bragged Joe Biden is “finishing the job” he started during his tenure in the White House.
Obama made the comments during an interview with the New York Times released on Tuesday.
“I think that what we’re seeing now, is Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job,” he said. “And I think it’ll be an interesting test.”
Obama notes that “ninety percent of the folks who were there in my administration” are now continuing the mission under Biden, following through on policies such as the Obama climate change or health care agendas.
“If they’re successful over the next four years, as I think they will be, I think that will have an impact,” Obama believes.

Biden Is ‘Finishing the Job’ Obama Started
Obama bragging that President Biden is “finishing the job” is precisely what you would expect from the man who likes to keep the focus on himself at all times.
But he also went so far as to take credit for the historic economic boom in the United States under his successor, former President Donald Trump.
“Let’s say a Democrat, a Joe Biden, or Hillary Clinton had immediately succeeded me, and the economy suddenly has 3% unemployment, I think we would have consolidated the sense that, ‘Oh, actually these policies that Obama put in place worked,’ he claimed.
Obama hinted that voters couldn’t quite understand that Trump’s economy was essentially spurred on by his own brilliant policies.
“The fact that Trump interrupts essentially the continuation of our policies, but still benefits from the economic stability and growth that we had initiated, means people aren’t sure,” he said without evidence.
“Well, gosh, unemployment’s 3.5% under Donald Trump.”
In my final section on “The DNA of the Democrats,” I show how Biden, even in his short tenure to date, combines the ineptitude of the Carter administration with the malevolence and gangsterism of the Obama era–a toxic combination that could vanquish the American dream itself. pic.twitter.com/Od30Y76gJ4

Trump Destroyed Obama’s Flimsy Legacy
Ah, can’t you see what Obama is saying here?
Those rust-belt rubes aren’t bright enough to understand the nuances of the Obama economy. An economy that stalled the recovery and was only unleashed by his successor through de-regulation and lower taxes.
Not to mention, Barack’s consistent claims that the economic boom between 2017 and the start of the pandemic was due to his policies fly in the face of what actual economists have said.
In 2018, the Wall Street Journal surveyed 68 economists and asked them who deserved credit at that time for the uptick in the economy.
Most “suggested Mr. Trump’s election deserves at least some credit.”
“Happily for President Trump, the pros agree with him,” The Hill wrote at the time. “A recent survey of economists suggest it is President Trump, and not Obama, who should be taking a bow.”

According to a book written by New York Times chief White House correspondent Peter Baker in 2019, Obama viewed Trump’s election in 2016 as a ‘personal insult’ to his legacy.
“Obama may not have been on the ballot, but it was hard not to see the vote as a ‘personal insult,’ as he had called it on the campaign trail,” Baker wrote. “This stings,” [Obama] said. “This hurts.”
.@BarackObama found himself shocked by the election results, thinking before Nov. 8 there was “no way Americans would turn on him” and “[h]is legacy, he felt, was in safe hands.”

Now, Obama feels compelled to return to bragging about his legacy once more with Biden in office ‘finishing the job.’
He is, as the New York Times writes, “completing the policy changes begun in the Obama administration.”
