It seems that Joe Biden and the Democrats are running out of scare tactics in the run up to the November midterm election. Biden’s recent divisive and inflammatory speeches suggesting half of his fellow Americans are “extremists” who pose a “threat” to democracy are not having the intended consequences.

At least according to a recent Harvard poll.

A new Harvard-CAPS Harris poll shows that more Americans are concerned with left-wing socialists than MAGA hat-wearing Republicans.

And that’s not the only poll result that will drive the left up the wall.

Unexpected Results

The poll results are sure to give the most ardent leftists heartburn.

For starters, the poll asked, “Are you more concerned about the Socialist left in America and the power they are gaining or more afraid of MAGA Republicans and the power they are getting?”

Only 45% said they were more troubled by so-called ‘MAGA Republicans.’ 55% are more concerned about ‘Socialist left.’

Further, Harvard posed this question: “Do you think there are tens of millions of dangerous MAGA Republicans backing violence and trying to overthrow the constitution or is that a gross exaggeration and distortion?”

Of those polled, 54% said they think the number of “dangerous MAGA Republicans” was “grossly exaggerated.” But 46% said they believe that there are “tens of millions” of “dangerous MAGA Republicans.” Broken down, that percentage came out to 73% of Democrats, 20% of Republicans, and 42% of Independents.

The hits just keep coming.

56% of respondents have “doubts about [Biden’s] mental fitness,” compared to 44% who have no doubts.

As to who are the top three most favorable politicians in the country? Donald J. Trump takes the top spot. Joe Biden comes in a distant fourth, after Mike Pence and socialist Bernie Sanders.

And by the narrowest of margins, 51% think the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago was politically motivated.

Thoughts On Biden’s Speech

The Harvard-CAPS Harris poll also asked respondents what they thought of Joe Biden’s “soul of the nation” speech.

Of those polled, a total of 56% percent opposed the speech. 60% said the speech was “divisive.” Only 40% thought it would be uniting for the country and move it forward.

Another 54% said the speech was “fear-mongering,” and 46% said they believe those fears are justified. But just a day after the speech, Biden was attempting to walk back some of his words, saying, “I don’t consider any Trump supporter a threat to the country.”

He continued, “Now I want to be very clear up front not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. I know because I’ve been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. But there’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans and that is a threat to this country.”

Probably too little, too late.

Media Assist Biden With The ‘Extreme MAGA Republican’ Message

As is usually the case, the media wasted no time after Joe Biden’s speech to help deliver the message that Republicans are a “threat to democracy.”

The day after the speech, frequent far-left MSNBC guest Elie Mystal was unimpressed with Biden’s extremist MAGA Republican rant, and actually thought Biden didn’t go far enough: “I don’t know who ‘It’s not all Republicans, just MAGA Republicans’ [is] for. I’m sure there are some white supremacists who will vote with white supremacists, who don’t think they are White supremacists. It’s not for me.”

A few days later, over at CNN, an unhinged Roland Martin declared, “This means war. That is where we are. We are at war with these people. These folks are evil. They have allowed evil into their house with Donald Trump. He has now dominated the party. This evil is spreading.”

Martin also felt that Biden didn’t go far enough and needed to “get tough” with MAGA Republicans. He continued, “When you are in a war footing, you have to respond accordingly. It is about time Joe Biden got tough.”

According to the Harvard-CAPS Harris poll, a majority of Americans are not buying Joe Biden’s “extreme MAGA Republicans” line. Kind of makes you wonder what they will think of next.
