For centuries now, mankind has had indoor plumbing.

It is one of the hallmarks of civilization, for it contributes to stable public health and suppresses the spread of infectious disease.

But in areas governed by a certain ideology, the public health situation has become so bad — virtually medieval — that diseases long thought to be eradicated are making a potential comeback to plague-city populations.

Welcome to San Francisco, California.

Under Democratic Party rule for more than several decades, the City by the Bay increasingly has become a haven for the very poor and the very rich — the exact opposite of the stated aspirations of Democratic Party platforms.

Young tech millionaires share the city spaces with the homeless and indigent in a scene more reminiscent of pre-revolutionary late 18th century Paris or Dickensian London than a modern American city.

And the health crisis?

Fox News medical correspondent Dr. Marc Siegel spoke to that earlier this week on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“Isn’t it ironic that a city of germaphobes, of exercise-conscious, environmentally conscious [people] … [is] now a city that’s awash in human waste, which is spreading hepatitis A outbreaks every year?” he said to Carlson, in part. “Big outbreaks of hepatitis A, rats in the streets feeding off the garbage in sewage, typhus, typhoid fever, rotten bacterial infections and even the plague may be coming.”

Siegel added, “And here’s the other thing that’s even worse. It’s not just the homeless population, right? People trek through those neighborhoods. They get [human waste] on their shoes and then they bring it to other neighborhoods — and then the diseases spread to other neighborhoods.”

Rampant filth and disease as a public health crisis is becoming typical to one-party politics.

Today, in Venezuela, in Portland, in Los Angeles, in Seattle, and in other socialist bastions, homeless people and more are suffering from the same lack of basic health standards.

And because of one-party state socialist economic policies practiced in the city and at the state level, San Francisco is no different.

This is not San Francisco’s first time at bat with such problems, of course.

During the heyday of the “flower power” movement in Haight-Ashbury in the mid-to-late 1960s and early 1970s, basic health levels were so low in the counterculture community that rickets and scurvy — medical conditions believed gone from modern life — made a reappearance, only to dissipate once the movement itself moved on.

With socialism comes not just economic deprivation, in many cases — but often the loss of the most basic of services and health routines needed to maintain the modern civilized state of a city.

It is a lesson not lost on some.

But apparently, it’s been lost to the Democrats who run San Francisco and California.

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she does not want to hear people refer to “free stuff” in reference to socialism.

“People like to say, ‘Oh this is about free stuff,’” Ocasio-Cortez said at a town hall in the Bronx over the weekend. “This is not about free stuff.”

A growing number of Millennials show support for communism and socialism, a survey from the Victims of Communism found.

The survey, conducted by the Victims of Communism and polled by the research and data firm YouGov, found that 70% of Millennials are likely to vote socialist and that one in three Millennials perceive communism as “favorable.” The survey is part of the Victims of Communism’s report “U.S. Attitudes Toward Socialism, Communism, and Collectivism,” which polled 2,100 people in the United States who were 16 and older with a margin of error of +/- 2.4%.

A little over half of the Millennials polled said the Declaration of Independence “guarantees freedom and equality” better than the Communist Manifesto.

“The historical amnesia about the dangers of communism and socialism is on full display in this year’s report,” said Marion Smith, executive director of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

“When we don’t educate our youngest generations about the historical truth of 100 million victims murdered at the hands of communist regimes over the past century, we shouldn’t be surprised at their willingness to embrace Marxist ideas,” Smith added. “We need to redouble our efforts to educate America’s youth about the history of communist regimes and the dangers of socialism today.”

Millennials polled also said they consider President Donald Trump the “biggest threat to world peace,” rating Trump as more dangerous to world peace than Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong-unor Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Ten percent of Millennials said Trump is “responsible for more deaths and human rights abuses” than mass-murder and Russian leader Joseph Stalin or notorious German dictator Adolf Hitler.

When 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders praised Communist China by saying they have made “more progress in addressing extreme poverty than any country in the history of civilization,” Ted Cruz wasn’t having it.

In fact, Cruz completely leveled Bernie.

Cruz Levels Bernie

“Sure, the Chinese Communists have wrongfully imprisoned & tortured millions, and they have murdered over 65 million people, but Bernie may have a point: when you’re dead, your poverty’s solved, right? #AbsurdLeftistPropaganda,” Cruz tweeted.

This came about from a recent interview with Sanders in The Hill, where the news outlet said the Senator had “nuanced view of Beijing.”

How nuanced? He thinks they have done some good things!

“China is a country that is moving unfortunately in a more authoritarian way in a number of directions,” Sanders told The Hill. “But what we have to say about China in fairness to China and its leadership is if I’m not mistaken they have made more progress in addressing extreme poverty than any country in the history of civilization, so they’ve done a lot of things for their people.”

Bernie Sander Has Praised Socialist Dictators His Entire Life

Wow. But let’s face it: Bernie Sanders support for communist and socialist dictatorships isn’t exactly anything new.

In February, Sanders was asked during a CNN town hall if he thought Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro was a dictator.

Sanders refused to call him that.

One year before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Sanders wrote in 1990, “There are some things that [the Soviet Union does] better than we do and which were, in fact, quite impressive. Subway systems in in Moscow costs 5 kopecs — or 7 cents. Faster, cleaner, more attractive and more efficient than any in the U.S. — and cheap.”

Sanders has also bragged in the past about taking vacations with his wife in the old Soviet Union.

Bernie Doesn’t Think Fidel Castro is So Bad

Sander once said that Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, “solved some very important problems,” and claimed Cuba was “more successful than almost any other developing country in providing health care for its people.”

When he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont, Sanders wrote in 1989,”For better or for worse, the Cuban revolution is a very profound and very deep revolution. Much deeper than I had understood.

“More interesting than their providing their people with free health care, free education, free housing … is that they are in fact creating a very different value system than the one we are familiar with,” he added.

Think about it: Bernie Sanders has had an intellectual love affair with socialist dictators his entire life.

And this man wants to be President of the United States?

In a recent commentary, country music legend Charlie Daniels says he believes socialism might be coming to America and places a lot of the blame on our country’s public school system.

He also says the U.S. might not elect a socialist in 2020, but that doesn’t mean we’re out of danger’s path.

“I don’t believe that America will accept or elect a socialist candidate in this election cycle, but if something isn’t done about the education of the coming generations there will be a successful socialist candidate sometime in America’s future,” Daniels said on his website.

Daniels said it won’t necessarily be “a crusty old pseudo-communist like Bernie Sanders or a shrill-voiced shrew-like Elizabeth Warren,” but perhaps, “some even-tempered, unflappable young man or woman who does not resort to name calling and political histrionics, but simply stays on message proclaiming the universal fairness of a system that makes sure everybody is treated equally.”

Daniels’ further explained how some future socialist wolf in sheep’s clothing might emerge.

“A person who has been schooled and prepared for the task of selling the masses on the nobility of collectivism,” Daniels said. “A smooth, even-tempered individual who will have all the answers at their fingertips, a rebuff for every objection, an explanation for every instance of failure, the mechanics and mistakes that had turned every other socialist experiment into a disaster.”

“And this likable, sophisticated, urbane new face will become the darling of the media and dominate the airwaves, the hero of the Hollywood airheads, magazine covers and TV specials the wunderkind, the hope of America, adored by leftist governments around the world,” he added.

Daniels Has Long Supported Trump

Daniels has been a longtime champion for conservative causes and an avid supporter of President Donald Trump.

On the Democrats’ Russian hoax, Daniels said last year, “I don’t think there’s anybody in Congress who actually thinks that anybody in the Trump administration actually colluded with the Russians to the detriment of the United States. You know, I don’t think there’s anybody who really believes that. I think they’re just doing it, trying to make political points — trying to get one guy thrown out of office and another one put in.”

“You know, if all the time, if all this energy, was put together on something meaningful …” he added.

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders acknowledged a tax increase from his policies and said Americans would be “delighted” to pay extra, in a CNN interview with Anderson Cooper Wednesday.

“I suspect that a lot of people in this country would be delighted to pay more in taxes if they had comprehensive health care as a human right,” Sanders said. The Vermont senator also went on to tell Cooper that he bases his principles on his 50-mile proximity to the Canadian border, where universal health care is law.

What Sanders did not include in his statement was the cost of his programs. The Mercatus Center at George Mason University released a study in 2018 saying Americans can estimate to foot a $32.6 trillion bill over a 10-year period for “Medicare for All,” Fox News reported. Sanders has also omitted cost information on his campaign website.

The 10-year cost breaks down to $3.26 trillion per year, according to the report. The current U.S. federal budget stands around $4.7 trillion.

Sanders also told Cooper Wednesday that housing, retirement, education and a clean environment are among his staples of “human rights.” President Donald Trump was a subject of discussion in the interview too.

Sanders called Trump a “corporate socialist” because of his “tax breaks to the wealthy.” He also chastised corporations seeking bailouts because of their “greed” and “illegal activity.”

According to a new Harris poll conducted for “Axios on HBO,” an increasing number of Americans have a positive view of socialism.

While about 40 percent in all categories preferred socialism to a capitalist system, that number went up when it came to women. Roughly 55 percent of women said that a socialist America was preferable to a capitalist country. For those wondering if this might be more of a generation gap than gender, those surveyed were between 18 and 54 years of age.

Overall, more of the men surveyed preferred a capitalist country to a socialist one.

“It’s been a truth of American politics for decades that women are to the left of men, and I think that’s playing out in this poll,” Axios’ Felix Salmon said.

That said, respondents didn’t agree on the specifics of what constitutes “socialism.” 49 percent said a socialist system is “dependent on dictatorship.” 57 percent said “state-controlled media and communication” is what defines socialism, and 61 percent believed “state control and regulation of private property” is integral to such a system.

More from Axios:

This online survey is not based on a probability sample and therefore no estimate of theoretical sampling error can be calculated. Results are weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, household income, education, and size of household where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population using U.S census data.

These poll results come at a time with prominent Democrats embrace the “socialist” label openly and enthusiastically. Not only high profile members of Congress like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but top 2020 Democratic contenders like Bernie Sanders, not to mention Elizabeth Warren have wrapped their arms around the philosophy.

It’s as if the old Soviet Union, Cuba and China never existed. Do these people know any history?

In his last State of the Union, President Donald Trump vowed that America would never become a socialist country. Knowing the unspeakable tragedies that evil philosophy has created everywhere it has been tried, the president’s words need to be repeated as often and as firmly as possible.

A new survey by Gallup indicates 70 percent of Democrats believe some form of socialism would be good for America.

The findings seem especially relevant as we celebrate Memorial Day, honoring military heroes from World War II who courageously fought the rise of an uneasy alliance between socialism and communism across Europe.

“Yes,” political commentator Glenn Beck explains, “Hitler and the Nazis were socialists, for the simple reasons that they were staunchly anti-capitalist and believed that the means of production in their society should be controlled by a centralized state power.”

“That is very clear from their writings, their words and their actions,” he adds.

Now, 70 percent of Democrats also believe that at some level, capitalism is evil and production should be dictated by the government.

The Gallup survey shows that aside from the Democrats embracing socialism, self-identified liberals support socialism at an 85 percent clip.

Overall, however, the polling firm notes that “51% [of Americans] believe socialism would be a bad thing for the country.”

Still, there are 43 percent of Americans who view socialism as a good thing, up drastically from 25 percent in a Roper/Fortune Survey conducted in 1942.

Trump Vows America Will Never Be Socialist

Fortunately for the good of our nation, President Trump doesn’t want to see America return to an economic and social system reminiscent of Nazi Germany. The same can’t be said for the opposition party.

Two freshman House Democrats, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, are members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Fellow Rep. Ilhan Omar has been accused by Vice President Mike Pence of “choos[ing] socialism over freedom.”

During a town hall event in February, 2020 candidate Bernie Sanders refused to say America would not become a socialist nation should he be elected President.

President Trump, in his most recent State of the Union address, took direct aim at the Democratic Socialists. He vowed that America would never succumb to the travesty of socialism.

That’s something we can all celebrate as Americans.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is laughable.

On the one hand, this multi-millionaire socialist is claiming millionaires are bad and terrible, even though he is one. He talks about bringing the country together while disparaging President Trump and his supporters with name-calling and offensive language. He claims he was at the front of civil rights activism, yet nobody seems to remember seeing him there. Now he’s calling President Trump a “schoolyard bully,” when everyone can see that he’s projecting.

I guess Sanders wants another appeaser like Barack Obama. Remember how Obama’s administration thought if Iran was raised on a higher respectable level, the region could be a lot more stable. But the boy king didn’t realize that placing them on the mountain and giving them credibility they didn’t earn would only give them a bigger megaphone to continue recruiting terrorists to act out against Israel and Christians.

Trump withdrew from a horrid deal with Iran because it wasn’t in the best interest of the U.S. You can’t threaten American allies and then hold the drink from our water wells. Trump imposes stricter sanctions, and you don’t have any dissenters on our side except for Democrat apologists who have no power.

Since 1979, Iran calls the US names, curses the US, threatens the US and has annual events where the American flag is stomped on.

Never mind all that, but they have also murdered US Marines in Beirut, US service personnel in the Khobar Towers bombing, they have killed and maimed thousands of US soldiers in Iraq, humiliated the US Navy, and they have attempted an assassination on American soil.

But Trump is the bully?

Sanders, the pathetic old communist, is insane, as is anyone who agrees with him. Another take on Bernie is that he is a schoolyard socialist, standing over in the corner ranting about giving away other people’s money.

I remember as a child a gang (4 or 5) of bullies that would position themselves in a particular way that only a few of the kids would have to pass by. But they placed a tax for you to pass by and would beat you up if you didn’t. Socialism, to me, is like those bullies: they will take your money by force.

I don’t know why Bernie calls Trump a bully. It seems to me like socialism fits that criteria better.

Between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” and Bernie Sanders‘ “Medicare-for-All,” we hear a lot about the supposed newfound popularity of socialism in the United States today. But a new poll released Monday shows that only a very small minority of Americans favor such a system.

A Monmouth University poll titled “SOCIALISM vs. CAPITALISM” showed that only ten percent of Americans view socialism favorably. Just as interesting, 57 percent of Americans said they believed socialism was incompatible with American values with only 29 believing the opposite.

The Monmouth poll notes:

Taken together, Americans divide into two dominant camps – 29% who have a positive view of capitalism and a negative view of socialism and 30% who have neutral opinions of both capitalism and socialism.  The remaining 4-in-10 Americans hold a range of mixed views on the two economic systems.

The poll also found that 58 percent of Americans approved of the idea of “universal” health care, with 53 percent believing that it wasn’t necessarily socialist.

This indicates that while Americans overwhelmingly reject socialism as a term, they might embrace aspects of it if it’s not considered socialist.

“We may be in a period of flux with how these economic systems are viewed,” Monmouth’s Patrick Murray said. “Socialism still carries a stigma, but many Americans feel they are being left behind by the current capitalist system. Policies that have traditionally been seen as socialist may be getting more popular even if the term itself is not.”

“We shouldn’t ignore the possibility that ‘neutral’ could be a way for some Americans, especially Democrats, to couch their policy preferences without using a term that has historically negative connotations,” he added. “This is going to be a real challenge for left-leaning candidates in the 2020 presidential race.”

“The party base seems to be saying,” Murray continued. ‘We like your platform, just don’t use the word socialism to describe it.”

Given these recent poll numbers, that’s probably some good advice for the Democrats as we head into the 2020 election.

Vice President Mike Pence sharply rebuked Congresswoman Ilhan Omar over her comments blaming the current humanitarian crisis in Venezuela on America.

Omar claimed “policies that we [America] have put in place” are to blame for the crisis, adding that “bullying” Nicolas Maduro, the brutal Venezuelan dictator, “does not help.”

Neither does going against American foreign policy and supporting a brutal dictator whose military vehicles are currently plowing into innocent protesters.

Pence took to social media to declare that, unlike Omar, “The Trump Administration stands with the freedom-loving people of Venezuela.”

She Chooses Tyrants Too

Earlier this year, President Trump officially recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as president over Maduro, joining several other countries.

“The people of Venezuela have courageously spoken out against Maduro and his regime and demanded freedom and the rule of law,” Trump declared. “I will continue to use the full weight of United States economic and diplomatic power to press for the restoration of Venezuelan democracy.”

Maduro has a history of extreme homophobia and outright murder at the hands of his regime.

When the dictator blocked humanitarian aid to the Venezuelan people in March, Pence denounced him as a “tyrant” who “danced as his henchmen burned truckloads of food and medicine, and murdered civilians.”

Omar disagreed. Aside from saying these efforts to pressure Maduro out of power are bullying, she has accused the Trump White House of initiating a “coup” in Venezuela.

Berating Omar

Pence wasn’t the only one to hammer Omar for her clearly anti-American stance.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in an interview with Fox News, denounced Omar’s comments as ‘disgusting’ and ‘ignorant.’

“The nicest thing I could say is it’s unbelievable ignorance, it’s factually wrong,” Pompeo railed against Omar’s comments. “The problems of Venezuela have been years in the making.”

“For a member of Congress … to make a statement blaming America for it in this way, it’s not only ignorance, it’s disgusting,” he added.

This comes just hours after former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said Omar’s “comments are so far from the truth,” and alleged that “Cuba and Russia appreciate your support.”

Omar continually works against American interests. When are Democrats going to realize this woman doesn’t even vaguely belong in Congress, let alone on the House Foreign Affairs Committee?

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar after the Minnesota Democrat blamed the current humanitarian crisis in Venezuela on America.

Omar claimed “policies that we [America] have put in place” are to blame for the crisis, adding that “bullying” Nicolas Maduro, the brutal Venezuelan dictator, “does not help.”

“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela,” Omar alleged. “And we’ve sort of set the stage for where we’re arriving today.”

“This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela, and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States,” she added.

That’s right – She thinks the man who is ordering military vehicles to run over protesters is being bullied.

Haley Unloads

Haley unleashed on Omar, noting that under Maduro’s brutal regime the people of Venezuela are starving, the children are suffering, and families are enduring untold pain.

“Your comments are so far from the truth,” Haley said in a direct tweet to Omar. “Cuba and Russia appreciate your support.”

Haley has supported President Trump and his administration’s recognition of Juan Guaidó as the President of Venezuela.

“The people of Venezuela have suffered far too long under Maduro’s dictatorship,” Haley said in February. “The region needs to continue to support the people of Venezuela by recognizing Juan Guaidó as President. No one should acknowledge Maduro’s desperation of trying to stay relevant.”

Omar Takes Sides AGAINST America

A congresswoman openly going against American foreign policy in Venezuela is surprising, but not unexpected in the case of Omar.

Omar has already sided with Maduro in claiming President Trump was initiating a “coup” in Venezuela.

Omar also put U.S. Special Envoy Elliott Abrams on blast, asking his opinion on whether the El Mozote massacre in El Salvador “was a fabulous achievement that happened under [the United States’] watch.”

Abrams responded “No,” to which Omar replied, “I’ll take that as a ‘yes.'”

Because America is always to blame in her eyes. And she loves communism.

In 2017, Omar took part in a travel delegation sponsored by ‘Witness For Peace,’ an organization formed to stop American intervention efforts in South America combatting the spread of communism.

Witness For Peace was formed in 1983 as a means to oppose President Ronald Reagan’s anti-communist policies in South America. They currently have close relations with communists in Cuba and stand firmly behind the devastating economic impact of socialism in Venezuela.

Because, as Haley suggests, she finds common cause with Cuba, Russia, and Venezuelan dictators.
