Biden Creates ‘Climate Corps’ With the Stroke Of a Pen to Tackle ‘Environmental Justice’

President Joe Biden has been working harder than usual, spending almost full work days traveling the world, attending meetings and dinners, and signing Executive Orders meant to attract young and minority voters. His latest Executive Order aims to seduce another voting group: climate activists.

This week, the Biden administration unveiled the American Climate Corps, a program repackaged from an attempt during the Obama administration to train a generation of climate workers, otherwise known as activists. The American Climate Corps promises to teach thousands of “youth” in climate-related jobs in a sort of push to evolve our country into a new era.

But this EO promises nothing more than an attempt to create an empty win for President Biden leading up to the election and an attempt to appeal to the progressive left of his party and the country. So, without further ado, let’s dive into this old new program.

Young blood

The American Climate Corps, launched with a swipe of Uncle Joe’s pen, will pay 20,000 “young people” to get trained in climate-related jobs. There is an emphasis on “young people” throughout the messaging of this program, and it’s on purpose – to attract a voting block that has shown signs of cooling on the octogenarian politician.

The announcement from the administration says the program will:

“…ensure more young people have access to the skills-based training necessary for good-paying careers in the clean energy and climate resilience economy.”

Biden climate policy advisor Ali Zaidi said of the new initiative:

“We’re opening up pathways to good-paying careers, lifetimes of being involved in the work of making our communities more fair, more sustainable, more resilient.”

Yet another reason they want to capture Americans when they’re young, seduce them with paid training in climate-related jobs, and guarantee loyalty to the climate change cult. But the administration doesn’t just stop with alluring the climate change fanatics; why focus on one subculture when you can hit on two?

The injustice of justice

The progressive environmental activist group Sunrise Movement has been advising the White House on programs such as the Climate Corps and expressed their pleasure at this latest development. However, executive director Varshini Prakash said more needs to be done:

“We need millions of people, especially young people, employed to do the essential work of averting climate catastrophe and building a fair and equitable new economy.”

There it is, folks, marrying climate change hysteria with equity. So what is an equitable new economy, and how does climate change tie into it?

While on a call with reporters, an administration official explained that the “recruits” of this new corps will:

“…do the important task of conserving and restoring our lands and waters, bolstering community resilience, deploying clean energy…implementing energy efficiency technologies that will cut consumer costs for the American people, and advancing environmental justice.”

See how they did that, reader? They list things everyone can get behind; who doesn’t want our land and water restored and conserved?

Even I’m intrigued by solar power, especially if it lowers my energy bill. And then they slip in at the end a nebulous obscure concept – environmental justice.

Everything is racist

The concept of environmental justice is not new; you can trace it back to the 1990s under President Bill Clinton.

The Environmental Protection Agency defines environmental justice as:

“…the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations and policies.”

It sounds harmless enough and relatively legitimate. Again, who can argue with the idea of fair treatment and involvement of everyone without discrimination?

However, the Biden administration has become adept at mutating the concept to manipulate minority voters and divide the nation. In April, President Biden signed an Executive Order directing every federal agency to work toward “environmental justice for all,” claiming:

“For far too long, communities across our country have faced persistent environmental injustice through toxic pollution, underinvesting in infrastructure and critical services, and other disproportionate environmental harms often due to a legacy of racial discrimination.”

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was more than happy to add to this argument of racist infrastructure when discussing the $2 trillion infrastructure plan:

“There is racism physically built into some of our highways…”

Faux wins for Biden

The American Climate Corps is just another way for Team Biden-Harris to claim that they’ve delivered on their promises to the progressive left in an attempt to secure their votes. In 2021 President Biden signed an Executive Order that included the Justice40 Initiative.

Justice40 aims to deliver 40% of the overall benefits of federal investments to “disadvantaged communities.” To prove that the Biden administration hits this target, they created their own ‘Environmental Justice Scorecard,’ which includes, wait for it, the creation of a climate career training workforce.

Now, how convenient for Team Biden-Harris; it seems they’ve made good on that piece of the pie. While they profess a goal to make the country more “equitable” through everything, including climate policy, every move they make is everything but equitable.

One only has to recall the administration’s attempt to grant debt relief for farmers based solely on the color of their skin in an effort to correct alleged ‘systemic racism.’ While that initiative failed thanks to a lawsuit that forces the debt relief to be race-neutral – a concept that shouldn’t be alarming today – this latest program continues with the same anti-racist racist trope.

The White House announced that the American Climate Corps is specifically designed to attract participants from disadvantaged communities disproportionately impacted by climate change. I wonder what they mean by all that?

Good luck applying if you are a white cisgender heterosexual. Make no mistake, President Biden and his administration don’t care about the climate, minorities, or justice – they care about power, and power is colorblind.
