Biden Campaign Uses Trumpian Argument To Defend Joe’s Antics

In an ironic turn of events, the Democrats are now forced to use a Trumpian argument to defend their own candidate.

Democrats have been arguing for years that President Donald Trump is too crass, that he uses inappropriate language, that he attacks the press—and for these and other reasons he must be removed from office by any means necessary.

But Trump supporters wanted a leader who would tell the truth at all costs. A long-standing defense of Trump is that we needed a president who would defend himself, and fight for the American working class.

Now Joe Biden is in a series of videos portraying aggression toward American voters on the campaign trail. In his most recent encounter caught on tape, Joe gets into a one-on-one verbal argument with a voter who brings up the subject of gun control.

In an ironic turn of events, the Democrats are now forced to use a Trumpian argument to defend their own candidate.

Kate Bedingfield, deputy campaign manager for Joe Biden, tried to spin Joe’s campaign trail aggression as spunky ( as opposed to unhinged), retweeting the sentiment that “people are going to love” seeing Joe get angry with voters.

The Biden campaign is now saying Joe Biden’s cursing at an American voter is just a showing of strength. The campaign maintains that Biden is the guy America needs to beat Trump. That Democrats need a fighter.

Sound familiar? It’s right from the Trump playbook.

Except this time it’s not genuine as it was with the Trump campaign. Instead, sadly, it’s an attempt to cover up  ineptitude in their candidate. Biden is revealing that he can’t regulate his emotions in public.

The Biden campaign has been forced into a corner to defend Joe for being volatile and unpredictable. For years Democrats have been saying these same “unpresidential” qualities made Trump a monster.

The Democrats are now positioning Biden as a righteous soldier of democracy—a man who’s “not afraid to say the wrong thing.” It appears Democrats will have left behind the notion of putting a poised, polished unifier in the White House.

Before this change in the Democrats’ attitude, they said it was going to take an anti-Trump to restore the country to sanity. Now they want to fight fire with fire. But is trying to beat Donald Trump at his own game in anyone’s self-interest? Not likely.
