Why does it seem Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby has created a TV Show-like type atmosphere for the death of Freddie Gray? Is this her moment, her 15 minutes of fame? Attorneys for six Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray are asking a judge to move their case out of Baltimore, arguing it will be impossible to select an impartial jury and receive a fair trial.
In a lengthy motion filed Wednesday, the defense attorneys argue that, a change of venue in this case is warranted because the State’s Attorney for Baltimore has clearly politicized this case and tainted any possible jury pool in Baltimore city. The defense also cited the citywide curfew during the unrest created “an insurmountable prejudice.” Her biased actions by siding with the demonstrators has shown that a fair trial cannot be held in the area in which she is a State’s Attorney, and let’s not forget her husband is a City Councilmen from West Baltimore.
From charging two of the wrong people and having to drop the false arrest charges, saying the knife was legal when it has been confirmed to be illegal, as well as being the guest of honor at the Prince concert in support of Freddie Gray, Marilyn Mosby has proven that she has mishandled this case.
I hope they get an intelligent judge like the one in Cleveland who found the police officer INNOCENT! When police are forced to deal with people who do not obey their orders, they struggle…and in this case, the moron had just had back surgery and shouldn’t have been on the street at all, let alone fighting with the police. Why does it seem the Department of Justice wants to limit or destroy the respect law enforcement officers need in minority communities to do their job? If the power to protect the innocent is removed, then it will be a free-for-all for everyone to run rampant, steal, maim, murder as we saw on Memorial Day weekend. And, the police can only look on, they don’t DARE touch them.
The epitome of ignorance is at work, starting with the State Attorney!
