Today, Aretha Franklin, the so-called Queen of Soul, died at the age of 76. She sadly lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. (RELATED: Aretha Franklin Passes Away At The Age Of 76.)
We all pay tribute to Aretha Franklin today, remembering her beautiful, soulful voice and the trials she had to overcome to become the superstar we knew so well.
Trump even extended a few words of tribute today during a meeting of his cabinet.
Now, liberals will claim that Trump’s words are nonsense, given that he’s an unrepentant racist. That message has been especially acute during the recent brouhaha over former White House staffer Omarosa’s claims that Trump was recorded saying the n-word, a claim that has yet to be proven. (RELATED: Omarosa’s Story on Trump N-Word Tapes Changes.)
But interestingly enough, not long after Franklin’s passing, we stumbled upon the following picture from 1992:
Say, isn’t that the late Aretha Franklin talking with future president Donald Trump? It sure looks like it!
Now, some cursory Google searches yield no results on if Trump and Franklin had any kind of personal relationship. But she certainly doesn’t look sickened to be standing next to a man who regularly uses the n-word epithet.
I bring all of this up because of a recent admission by an African-American reporter. Darren Sands is a reporter for BuzzFeed, the publication that initially broke the Trump dossier story. (RELATED: Obama Admin Officials Caught Discussing Trump Dossier with CNN Before Breaking Story.) Clearly, they aren’t a friendly outlet towards Trump. Yet Sands admits what many liberal reporters won’t: Trump was quite popular with the African-American community in the 1990s, specifically in New York City.
Check it out:
FWIW, when these rumors of the tape of DJT saying that existed, I called lots of people in the NY hip hop industry that revered and hung with him in the 90s, including Russell Simmons. None had heard him say it.

This was to determine if he’d casually said the word nigga in jest or in conversation with friends, to determine if it would have been acceptable for him to use it. To the people I talked to, it would not have been.

People refused to chill, of course, and so here is a pic of Trump literally eating dinner with Andre Harrell and Russell Simmons.
Sorry to inform you: Trump was once the toast of New York hip hop’s glitterati. I know. Sad. pic.twitter.com/26icqKgL7G

Interesting!
It would seem like the entire idea that Trump is some kind of racist hater of black people is a bunch of spin made up by the media simply to smear the man. It has no bearing on reality.
