Socialist Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threatened to subpoena Donald Trump Jr. after he posted a humorous image attacking Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist philosophy.
Ocasio-Cortez very publicly stated:
I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up.
Please, keep it coming Jr – it’s definitely a “very, very large brain” idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month.

Her obviously threatening Tweet was in response to an Instagram post Donald Trump Jr. shared making fun of socialism and why Americans will reject it.
Not only is Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet idiotic on it’s face, but it also violates Congress’ ethics rules.
“A solicitation for campaign or political contributions may not be linked with an official action taken or to be taken by a House Member or employee, and a Member may not accept any contribution that is linked with an action that the Member has taken or is being asked to take. A corollary of these rules is that Members and staff are not to take or withhold any official action on the basis of the campaign contributions or support of the involved individuals, or their partisan affiliation. Members and staff are likewise prohibited from threatening punitive action on the basis of such considerations.“
And many people interpreted Ocasio-Cortez’s statement as threatening punitive action.

Ocasio-Cortez, like many of my millennial generation, can’t accept the fact that she buys into a morally bankrupt ideology. An ideology that ends up irreparably harming their fellow citizens as they try to twist words and find new, whacky ways of stealing from people in order to give to those they feel are more deserving. It’s usually the party bosses. Just look at Bernie Sanders’ lavish lifestyle.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would walk back her threat after being roundly called out for her stupidity.
For the GOP crying that this is a “threat” – I don’t have power to subpoena anybody.
Congress as a body, GOP included, has the power. No indiv. member can issue a subpoena unless they are a Chair (which, as a freshman, I can assure you I will not be). Also must be under purview.

This isn’t the first time Ocasio-Cortez has been roundly mocked and I can guarantee it won’t be the last.
My generation, for the most part, is a complete and utter failure when it comes to basic morality, and understanding simple things, like stealing is wrong. Just look at how they fall for all of the environment is ending mumbo jumbo. If they think they can somehow save a planet that has been around for hundreds of millions of years, they will jump at the opportunity to rob you blind. But the environment is just one of the main ways they’ve duped my generation. Because at the end of the day, what really matters to them is that they want to control you and steal your money.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and people like her won’t be disappearing from the United States anytime soon. It’s too easy to rob from honest people, who lack the spine to stand up and say enough is enough. The only way Ocasio-Cortez and people like her can be stopped is to stand up to them, and let them know you won’t back down.
