Barack Obama’s decades long pastor and mentor Reverend Jeremiah Wright is no stranger to controversy. Wright caused some issues for Obama on his 2008 Presidential campaign when his anti-American comments were revealed.
Now Reverend Wright’s daughter is in trouble with the law. Jeri Wright was convicted of money-laundering, lying to a grand jury and lying to federal investigators last March. She was involved in a state grant fraud scheme. During last spring’s trial, prosecutors allege that Wright was involved in a ghost payroll scandal. She was free on bail. But, U.S. District Judge Sue E. Myerscough ruled Wright may have committed another crime while awaiting sentencing. The Judge ordered US Marshalls to take her to prison immediately.
