What started out as a sweet, innocent letter from a child to the president was twisted into something evil by the left.
The explanation was simple enough. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “To remind us a little bit more often about some of the forgotten men, women, and children that we’re here to serve and that the president is fighting for, we’re going to start the White House briefing every once in awhile with a letter or an email that we may receive from some of those individuals.”
So she read this letter from 9-year-old Dylan:
Thank you Dylan (aka Pickle) for your letter to @POTUS! We hope to meet you soon! pic.twitter.com/RtTb6KtsZN

Dear President Trump,
My name is Dylan Harbin, but everybody calls me Pickle. I’m nine years old, and you’re my favorite President. I like you so much that I had a birthday about you. My cake was the shape of your hat.
How old are you. How big is the White House? How much money do you have? I don’t know why people don’t like you. You seem really nice. Can we be friends?
My picture is in here. So, if you can, see me and say hi.
Your friend, Dylan.
Somehow liberal reporters objected to this.
Like, this is just propaganda.

No, Olivia, THIS is propaganda: Here’s one time when Obama had kids who wrote him pro-gun control letters on stage with him as he advocated for gun control. Another when he released a letter from a child wanting to help refugees from Syria. Another little girl who asked for a woman to be put on U.S. currency. He regularly used children as a political tool, but now, suddenly, reading a letter from a child to the president is beyond the pale.
Children have been writing to U.S. presidents for centuries. The Obama White House website had a series called “Asked and Answered” which “periodically feature[d] an exchange between the President and an American who wrote him.” Here’s a similar one from an 8-year-old where she says, “I am your biggest fan,” and “Please do something fun. Wear a tie-dye shirt and shorts to something important.” That’s the kind of cute and random stuff we expect from little kids.
But what should have been an endearing exercise went horribly wrong in the hands of liberals who questioned if Dylan was even real and made fun of his nickname and handwriting.
Huffington Post was quick with a headline that read, “Twitter Pounces On Dubious Letter From 9-Year-Old Trump Fan – Is there really a kid called ‘Pickle’ who wants to be the president’s friend?”
I mean, of course the #Pickle letter is fake, right?
This is like an adult writing words with the backwards “S” so you think a kid did it.

Looks like President Tiny Pickle wrote that himself. #FakePresident #FakePickle

Eager for info on Dillon aka “pickle,” the kid who wrote Trump, per @SHSanders45. Dillon the Pickle is mascot of Portland baseball team. pic.twitter.com/tOUWXnEbzv

Hey #Pickle (if thats your real name) instead of worrying about how much $$$ @POTUS has, why don’t you work on your penmanship? #DylanLetter pic.twitter.com/x28zdgaM1t

Just like the left to go after a child! When even presidential children are no longer off limits to them, of course they’d attack a random kid guilty of the crime of liking the president and writing to him.
Liberals have no shame, whatsoever!
What do you think about Dylan’s letter to the president – innocent or propaganda?
