A woke social justice activist was stabbed to death in New York City in the early hours of Monday morning in a chilling unprovoked attack that was caught on camera.

Activist Fatally Stabbed

Ryan Carson, 32, was heading home from a wedding with his girlfriend, with the two of them sitting at a bus stop in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 4 a.m. Monday, according to The New York Post. Video shows them still dressed in their wedding attire when they are approached by an irate man who can be seen pushing over a motor scooter as they tried to leave.

“What are you looking at?” the assailant yelled as he approached the couple.

He then began to push Carson, who responded by telling the attacker to calm down.

“I’ll kill you!” the assailant screamed before pulling out a knife and stabbing Carson several times in the chest.

Carson’s girlfriend, who was not injured in the attack, called 911 as the suspect appeared to spit in her face and kick the bleeding Carson. The suspect then fled the scene on foot and remains at large at the time of this writing.

Carson was rushed to the hospital, but he sadly could not be saved and died of his injuries, as one of the stab wounds pierced his heart. Police said that no arrests have been made, and that they are still investigating the stabbing.

You can watch the video of the incident here, but we must warn you that it is disturbing.

Carson’s History

Carson had been a campaign organizer for New York Public Research Group, with his recent work focusing on improving recycling and solid waste management.

“Ryan was a beloved staffer, colleague and friend, and a creative, talented, relentless and upbeat advocate for students and the environment,” the organization said in a statement after his death, according to People Magazine. “His engaging personality, hearty laugh and wide-ranging intelligence were keys to his success in advancing the causes he deeply cared about in his work and personal life.”

New York Assembly Member Emily Gallagher (D) mourned Carson after his death, saying that they bonded over each losing friends to drug overdoses.

“If you wanted to talk, he was absolutely always ready to talk, always there for you,” Gallagher told CBS News. “It’s hard when the person that you go to to talk about grief is the one who died. It’s been really difficult to comprehend.”

‘Epicenter Of An Entire Community’

Carson is being remembered as someone who was passionate about his activism.

“He’s really… like the epicenter of an entire community that he created, that he brought together,” said his roommate, 31-year-old Tom Krantz.

“I don’t think anyone is exaggerating when they say he would give the shirt off his back,” Krantz added. “He was the guy that bent over backward time and time again to be there with his friends.”

Two years ago, Carson walked from New York City to Albany to lobby for safe injection facilities, raising over $20,000 in the process. Blair Horner, Carson’s boss at NYPIRG, told ABC 7 that his death was “incredibly tragic.”

“A life full of promise is snuffed out,” she added. “And the world is a worse place for it and we’ll miss him dearly.”

This unfortunately also comes at a time when crime is out of control in New York City, largely thanks to the radically liberal policies of the Democrats running the city. Perhaps Carson’s death will awaken his fellow liberal activists to the reality that something needs to be done to crack down on crime in New York City and other leftwing-run cities across the country.

Please join us in saying a prayer for Carson’s family and friends during this difficult time.
