The White House released on Wednesday morning the transcript of President Donald Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The transcript is reportedly five pages of typed notes of a July 25 conversation between the two men.
Trump released the document for transparency in light of a so-called whistleblower’s complaint about the phone call and charges that Trump in some way acted improperly.
Congressional Democrats have used these charges to push forward on their impeachment efforts.
The document shows that Trump asked Zelensky to “look into” former Vice President Joe Biden’s son — and said he would have his personal lawyer (meaning Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City) and attorney general (meaning Bill Barr) to reach out to Mr. Zelensky to “get to the bottom of it.”

That’s according to the transcript.
“I don’t see a tie [in the remarks] to the money — to aid,” noted Bret Baier of Fox News on Wednesday morning during a segment on the Fox News Channel.
“I do see that Democrats will jump on it because he [Trump] mentions Joe Biden and Hunter Biden,” he added.
“But you don’t see a quid pro quo” here, Baier also noted.
Republicans are already maintaining there is nothing explicit here tying Trump’s remarks to any foreign aid or quid pro quo.
Democrats are saying it’s implied — and will use whatever here they can to move forward on impeachment.
Before she had even read the transcript, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) again was calling for Trump’s impeachment.
Said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Wednesday morning about yesterday’s moves by Pelosi, “[Yesterday] was a dark day.” He said that world leaders may now immediately worry about getting on the phone with the president of the United States and having forthright conversations about key matters as a result of what’s happened.
