View Host Joy Behar Claims Orrin Hatch Should Go to Jail For Not Opposing Trump

Joy Behar, host of ABC’s “The View,” claims Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) should go to prison for not opposing President Trump.

Not surprisingly, Behar, who recently celebrated her 20th year on the network show by asking the President to resign, used an out of context video clip to smear Hatch for her argument.

She referenced a CNN interview in which Hatch was asked about Trump’s links to former lawyer Michael Cohen. The reporter mentioned that the prosecutor in Cohen’s case, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is a Trump appointee, to which Hatch responded, “I don’t care. All I can say is, he’s doing a good job as president.”

The liberal media has pulled that clip as evidence that Hatch allegedly doesn’t care that Trump has been referenced in a crime, when the reality is he was referencing who appointed him.

Behar thinks Hatch committed a crime

Behar, not often accused of being intelligent in her political analysis, took that clip, one which she clearly didn’t watch herself, and said Hatch belongs in prison.

“He is going out of office. He has nothing to lose by speaking, against, truth to power about Trump,” she said, failing to note the irony in that she was lying about his comment.

“Why does he say, ‘Even if he commits a crime, it’s OK?’ Maybe he needs to go to jail, too,” she wondered.

When asked if he was concerned about the allegations, Hatch said ‘no’ before clearly adding that prosecutors will do anything to create a crime in their efforts to bring down Trump.

“No because I don’t think he was involved in crimes,” Hatch responded, “but even then, you know, you can make anything a crime under the current laws; if you want to you can blow it way out of proportion you can do a lot of things.”

Nobody on the panel bothered to fact check Behar or add the missing context.

Behar’s history of unhinged lunacy

Behar has a rich history of outlandish comments. Saying the longtime Utah Senator should head to prison for voicing his opinion is just one in a long line.

  • She recently claimed the President should stock up on pardons for his kids.
  • She instigated a shouting match when discussing the passing of George H.W. Bush because she had to interject her Trump derangement theories into the conversation.
  • She likened praying to a “mental illness” after claims from Omarosa that Vice President Mike Pence talks to Jesus.
  • Called the President a “sociopath” and said “God forbid” he “lives another 20 years.”

And that is most decidedly a short list. Most of these comments are brushed off under the cloak of being made by a comedian. Problem being, they’re not funny, not accurate, and not based in reality.
