If you thought “The View” couldn’t possibly get any more P.C., boy, do we have news for you.
On a recent episode, the hosts discussed whether some of the 10 Commandments – which were “set in stone thousands and millions and hundreds and zillions of years ago,” as Whoopi Goldberg put it – are obsolete in today’s world. Why they chose to debate this in the first place is beyond me, as things like “don’t murder,” “don’t steal,” and “honor your father and mother” seem pretty darn timeless, but maybe they were scrapped for content.
Anyway, host Paula Faris, who is an outspoken and devout Christian, was speaking about her upbringing and how her parents “were really strict about what we said in the home.” Faris explained, “We couldn’t say, ‘Oh, my God.’ We couldn’t say ‘J.C.,’ we couldn’t say ‘Jesus.’ We could say ‘Jeez.’ Unless you were praising Him, and then you could say, ‘Jesus.'”
Except, both times Faris said “Jesus” were bleeped out.

Much like the entire topic itself, why the producers of the show chose to censor Jesus’s name is beyond me. Most likely it’s because they didn’t want to risk offending any liberals watching who takes issue with Christianity. Not religion in general, mind you – just Christianity. Because if Faris were Muslim and she mentioned the name “Muhammad” it’s highly doubtful that it would have been censored, too.
Unfortunately, this isn’t even the first time this week I’ve heard Jesus’s name censored in the media. At the gym yesterday I was listening to the “24 Hour Cardio Mix” station on the iHeartRadio app, and the song “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars came on. In that song there’s a lyric that goes, “Blame it on Jesus, #blessed.” However, Jesus’s name was censored.
Meanwhile, regular cable network AMC is now allowing certain shows to use the “F” word uncensored. To quote President Trump: Sad!
