Last week, Senator Rand Paul issued a challenge to the press to ask Wasserman Schultz if she believes it is acceptable to abort a seven pound baby. She has still not figured out how to answer the question, instead pushing the ethical concerns onto the medical community.
Megyn Kelly peppered DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz with questions about late term abortions. Wasserman Schultz continued to deflect saying whether she believes it is wrong to abort in the third trimester.
As a Congresswoman who is supported by the abortion lobby, it isn’t surprising that Wasserman Schultz refuses to agree with the vast majority of Americans who find late term abortions reprehensible.
“We’ve been very clear. There is no ambivalence here. We are very clear. We believe that that decision is best left not to government, but between a woman and her doctor. So, I can’t tell you a specific date and time past which we on all cases are certain that choice shouldn’t be made. Because that decision is very unique and individual to the woman and should be in consultation with her conscience and her God and her doctor. That is a decision left to her.”
