The former Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and John Cornyn (R-TX), calling them “f**king lunatics,” after the Senators took to social media encouraging acts of war against Iran.

Graham and Cornyn both took to the X social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter to cheer on a retaliatory attack by the United States following a drone strike on a small U.S. outpost in Jordan.

The strike killed three American soldiers and wounded at least 30 others.

Officials claim that the drone was fired by Iran-backed militants and appeared to come from Syria. It comes following a series of attacks by Iran-backed proxy groups on shipping vessels in the Red Sea.

Graham and Coryn both feel an escalation by the U.S. military is in order, but Carlson politely disagrees.

Graham Says We Need To Hit Iran Hard

Graham responded with a knee-jerk response to the attack we’ve come to expect, calling for actions that would further draw the United States into yet another war.

“Hit Iran now,” he wrote on X. “Hit them hard.”

As has been covered on these pages, Senator Graham hasn’t found a situation in which he wouldn’t seemingly declare war immediately.

Whether it’s Iran – which he has called to strike several times prior to this incident – or his calls to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing support for bombing drug cartels in Mexico, or enthusiastically supporting the Iraq War – he is a warmonger by definition.

Cornyn jumped into the fray as well, calling for the Biden administration to “target Tehran.”

Carlson Has Been A Critic Of The War Hawks

In a previous episode of his show on X, Carlson was highly critical of Graham’s encouragement of war with Iran.

“What exactly would happen to the United States if we declared war on Iran and started blowing up their infrastructure? Lindsey Graham has no clue what would happen,” said Carlson.

“He hasn’t thought it through. He’s almost 70 years old, and he has no children. He doesn’t care,” he continued. “But neither, amazingly, do most of his colleagues in Washington. They’re is reckless as he is.”

Graham recently dismissed concerns of civilian deaths in Palestine, bolstering his credentials as a reckless lawmaker who would happily lead the United States into another endless war in the Middle East.

“Tell us how to do it differently,” he said in defense of Israel’s attacks on Gaza. “What is too many people dying in World War II after Pearl Harbor?”

President Joe Biden confirmed the recent attack on a base in northeast Jordan carried out by Iran-backed militias in Syria and Iraq.

He vowed to hold those responsible accountable, saying, “We shall respond.”

In a separate statement, Biden said the United States “will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner (of) our choosing.”

Graham and Cornyn will no doubt support the new war effort.
