It’s absolutely understandable that the public would want to know about the health of their leaders. This is especially true of presidents.

Whether it was Woodrow Wilson’s wife acting as de facto President or FDR hiding his condition from the country, the issue is unfortunately not new or novel.

That won’t be an issue, according to Donald Trump’s physician. The former-and-possible-future president is in “excellent heath” and that “he will continue to enjoy a healthy active lifestyle for many years.”

Doctor Says Trump’s Healthy

Trump has at various times being the subject of conspiracy theories that he unhealthy, but according to his doctor such theories would be false. He did crush COVID while working, after all.

Reuters reported on a doctor’s note from Trump’s physician in November, “The note, which Trump, 77, posted on his Truth Social account, was released on the same day as Democratic President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday. The physical and mental health of both men has become a major issue in the 2024 presidential race.”

The story continued:

“President Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity, while maintaining a rigorous schedule,” read the note, which was signed by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey.

The note provided no further details.

“His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional,” Aronwald wrote.

Having positive cognitive exams could be important to Trump throughout 2024, given the widespread speculation about whether Joe Biden’s mind continues to deteriorate.

Polls have shown that a strong majority of Americans have concerns about Biden’s mental health.

Concerns About Biden’s Mental Health Grow

NBC News reported in June, “Yet here’s the bad news for the president: 68% of all voters say they have concerns about Biden having the necessary mental and physical health to be president, including 55% who say they have ‘major’ concerns.”

“What also stands out is how concerns about Biden’s mental and physical fitness have grown since we last asked this question in Oct. 2020 — when 51% of voters said they had concerns, with 38% having ‘major’ concerns,” NBC noted.

So as time passes, more Americans seem to worry about Biden’s health.

It makes sense. No one’s getting any younger.

Trump is by far the leading candidate to receive the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, pitting him against President Biden unless something changes in the Democratic race.

Policies and personalities will matter in determining the race. So might basic health.
