New Media Research Study Finds Media Obsessed With Trump Tweets

If you’re tired of hearing about every little thing that Donald Trump tweets instead of what’s actually going on in Washington, don’t blame Trump, blame the media.

After all, nobody is forcing them to cover the man’s Twitter feuds. It just seems to be a favorite fluff segment for the media to run. In fact, as the House of Representatives advanced on some key Trump campaign promises in passing Kate’s Law, which would help the Federal government crackdown on sanctuary cities and illegal immigrant crime, how did the media react?

By reporting on Trump’s twitter feed.

A new study by the Media Research Center shows that broadcast networks gave 28 times more coverage to Trump’s “Morning Joe” tweets than they did Kate’s Law passing in the House.

In a pair of tweets early Thursday, Trump mocked MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski’s face lift and called her cohost and fiance Joe Scarborough “psycho.”

News networks immediately jumped on the tweets and dedicated much of their coverage to the boiling feud between Trump and “Morning Joe,” so much so that they almost completely ignored a pair of anti-illegal immigration bills that passed in the House late Thursday.

Watch some of the craziness below:

In total, ABC and CBS didn’t cover the bills at all, while NBC didn’t even give them 30 seconds of coverage.

Perhaps one of the reasons they didn’t want to cover the bills is because most Americans do support Trump’s crackdown on sanctuary cities, and they don’t want to inform the public that Trump is doing something they want him to do.

Share this story if you support Trump cracking down on sanctuary cities!
