President Trump slammed a PBS reporter for constant negativity, advising her to “be nice” and suggesting the constant effort to ‘get him’ is why trust in the media is nearly non-existent.
Yamiche Alcindor, during a press briefing in the Rose Garden Sunday, asked President Trump about recent comments regarding the number of ventilators necessary as per requests from Democrat governors.
Trump has previously said he believed the demands would outweigh the actual need.
Be Nice
“You said repeatedly that you think that some of the equipment that governors are requesting, they don’t actually need,” Alcindor said. “You said New York might not need 30,000 …”
Trump interjected, “I didn’t say that.”
That’s when the President suggested she engage in a little positivity.

The President immediately recognized the question as a ‘gotcha’ effort, an attempt to twist words into the media’s preferred meaning. And he wasn’t having it.
“Why don’t you people act … a little more positive? It’s always just trying to getcha, getcha, getcha,” Trump insisted. “That’s why no one trusts the media anymore … That’s why you used to work for the Times and now you work for somebody else.”
“Look, let me tell you something … be nice,” he pleaded. “Don’t be threatening. Don’t be threatening. Be nice.”

Alcindor Cries Racism
You might find this hard to believe, but Alcindor took to social media and suggested Trump’s criticism of the ‘gotcha’ questions was a result of racism and misogyny.
“President Trump today at the White House said to me: ‘Be nice. Don’t be threatening.'” she wrote. “I’m not the first human being, woman, black person or journalist to be told that while doing a job.”
Of course, Alcindor is the same person who previously accused Trump of turning the Republican Party into a white nationalist party.
“There are some people that say now the Republican Party is seen as supporting white nationalists because of your rhetoric,” she inquired. “What do you think of that?”
Trump didn’t mince words on that either …
Trump Treats All Media the Same Way
Alcindor has to play the victim card, naturally. It couldn’t possibly be just because the President is tired of the media trying to use the coronavirus crisis as a means to divide America.
This is a man doing what he can, with what he has, to steer the country through this crisis. But you have reporters constantly asking inane questions or making inane suggestions.
Joe Scarborough, for instance, just a few days ago accused the Republican party of wanting to “euthanize” senior citizens.
Another reporter mocked America as a “s*** hole country” following news that the United States reportedly has more coronavirus cases than any other nation.
Trump Continues Hammering the Media
The showdown with Alcindor is just the latest battle President Trump has had with the media during this crisis.
This past week, he berated CBS News’ Paula Reid as “fake news” for insinuating his desire to reopen the country and get the economy going might be based on his “political interests.”
He then hammered CNN for a false report saying he “(has) no time for stupidity.”
….I have been packed all day with meetings, I have no time for stupidity. We’re working around the clock to KEEP AMERICA SAFE!

And for good measure, he blasted nearly every network suggesting the only thing he sees being produced during coverage of the coronavirus is “hatred of me.”
