Donald Trump excoriated President Joe Biden over reports that his administration provided the Taliban with a list of names of Americans and Afghan allies, something one official described as essentially giving them a “kill list.”
Politico reported on Thursday that multiple U.S. and congressional officials had provided details of the list.
“U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport,” they wrote.
Politico also notes that the news prompted “outrage” from lawmakers and military leaders.
“Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list,” one defense official told the outlet. “It’s just appalling and shocking and makes you feel unclean.”

Biden Doesn’t Deny US Gave Taliban List Of Names
President Biden on Thursday refused to deny the reports.
The President indicated he couldn’t say with “certitude” that such a list existed but conceded, “There may have been.”
“There have been occasions where our military has contacted their military counterparts in the Taliban and said this bus is coming through…made up of the following group…let it through,” he explained.
“Yes, there have been occasions like that.”

President Biden has insisted that the Taliban’s interests right now align with the need to get Americans out of the country.
The International Business Times reports that this week’s suicide bombings at the airport in Kabul were executed after “at least one suicide bomber managed to slip through the initial Taliban checkpoints.”
The Defense Department confirms that 13 U.S. military personnel were killed in the attack – 10 Marines, 2 Army soldiers, and one Navy corpsman – and an additional 72 Afghans lost their lives.

Trump Slams Biden Over ‘Kill List’
Former President Donald Trump slammed Biden over the news of the so-called “kill list” and said the crisis in Afghanistan is the “most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to our country.”
“Now we’re giving lists of Americans to the Taliban so now you just knock on the door and grab them and take them out,” Trump told Fox News.
“What you are watching now is only going to get worse, it can only go one way,” he added.
“We look like fools all over the world,” claimed Trump. “We are weak, we are pathetic, we are being led by people that have no idea what they are doing.”

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson also criticized the Biden administration for the debacle in Afghanistan as well as providing the Taliban with a list of Americans.
“Apparently it makes the Taliban’s job easier. The question is, what is that job?” Carlson asked.
He added of the Afghanistan crisis, “If you wanted to destroy the United States, this is how you would do it.”
