Trump Takes to Twitter to Attack Russian Hacking Claims

When Bill Clinton was president and the Lewinsky scandal was unearthed, Hillary Clinton famously stated that her husband was the victim of a “vast right wing conspiracy.”

Following her own loss to Donald Trump in November, the vast right ring conspiracy is back, and Russia is the man behind the curtain!

Personally, I’m a bit confused as to why it would be a surprise if the Russians did in fact support Trump over Hillary. A headline reporting on that fact should read something along the lines of “BREAKING: Russians support candidate who doesn’t want war with Russia!” Even if we were to suppose the accusations are true that the Russians were behind the DNC hack (which led to the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz as DNC chair), so what? Does the truth cease to be truth if it comes of Russian origin?

At any rate, there is exactly zero evidence that Russia did anything, for any reason. And that’s why President-elect Trump smashed the conspiracy in just two sentences:

Boom!

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday raised more questions about Russia’s reported role in cyber attacks on U.S. political parties and individuals as well as the timing of the White House’s response under President Barack Obama.

“If Russia, or some other entity, was hacking, why did the White House wait so long to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?” Trump wrote in a post on Twitter.

Trump and his staff have repeatedly dismissed reports over the Russian hacking as “ridiculous,” and said Democrats are upset that Trump won the Nov. 8 presidential election over their candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Just a bonus, here’s what the Democrat establishment had to say about Russia when it was former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney who was calling them a threat to America:

What excuse will they come up with next? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out!
