President Donald Trump just ripped the NBA for being a “political organization,” noting it is completely detracting from its sporting nature.
Trump: NBA A “Political Organization”
During a briefing on the topic of Hurricane Laura that is currently hitting the south east coast of the country, President Trump said that the NBA has become “like a political organization,” which he added is not “a good thing for sports or for the country.”

The comments follow the recent politicization of the NBA during the Black Lives Matter riots and protests that have occurred across the country since the shooting of George Floyd back at the end of May.

Black Lives Matter On The Courts
After the NBA was shut down during the coronavirus pandemic, they returned to their first game at the end of July with a huge Black Lives Matter logo painted on the court, ssomething Marcellus Wiley of Fox Sports 1 said would only serve to “divide and polarize the nation even further.”

Not only this, but players were permitted to wear 29 social justice statements on the back of their jerseys, including “Black Lives Matter,” “Say Their Names,” “I Can’t Breathe,” and “Anti-Racist,” among others.
“We’re just trying to continue to shed light on the different social justice issues that guys around our league continue to talk about day in and day out,” said Oklahoma Thunder guard Chris Paul, president of the players union. “People are saying that social justice will be off of everybody’s mind in Orlando. With these jerseys, it doesn’t go away.”

No Americans Want Politicized Sports
This has only continued in the wake of Sunday’s shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which sparked off violent riots in the town, already leading to the deaths of 2 Antifa activists. Afterwards, the NBA decided to postpone its games. President Trump said at the time he wasn’t aware of this action from the NBA, but proceeded to attack their already poor ratings.
President Trump is exactly right. Why can’t Americans just sit down and watch sports and take their mind off everything else that’s happening in the world right now, without communist slogans being shoved down their throats? No wonder nobody is watching the NBA anymore!
