President Trump announced the 1776 Commission designed to promote patriotic education and push back against leftist indoctrination efforts such as the 1619 Project.
The 1619 Project is a fact-challenged effort to rewrite the history of America as the date African slaves arrived in Virginia.
Developed by the New York Times, it is described as an effort “to reframe the country’s history” by focusing almost exclusively on slavery.
The President accused Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and the Times of corrupting history and education while offering a counterproposal.
“I will soon sign an executive order establishing a national commission to promote patriotic education,” Trump said at a speech at the National Archives.
“It will be called the ‘1776 Commission.'”
He added that this new effort is designed to “encourage our educators to teach your children about the miracle of American history.”
In doing so, it will “make plans to honor the 250th anniversary of our founding.”

President Trump Demolishes the 1619 Project
President Trump slammed the revisionist history of the New York Times and the 1619 Project.
“A radical movement is attempting to demolish this treasured and precious inheritance. We can’t let that happen,” he lamented.
Trump addressed “left-wing mobs” who have torn down statues, burned cities, and promoted anti-American words and violence.
“These radicals have been aided and abetted by liberal politicians, establishment media, and even large corporations,” explained the President.

The New York Times’ 1619 Project is an example of the establishment media promoting propaganda.
Lifezette has described it as “ahistorical” because it “only portrays blacks as victims and America as an enslaving mafia.”
And yet, “material from the project has been used to supplement curricula in schools nationwide,” according to Time Magazine.
President Trump slams the “totally discredited” 1619 Project:
“America’s founding set in motion the unstoppable chain of events that abolished slavery, secured civil rights, defeated communism and fascism and built the most fair, equal, and prosperous nation in human history.” pic.twitter.com/80klRaR2yX

1776 Commission Will Teach Idea That America Was Founded on the Idea of Freedom
“The left has warped, distorted and defiled the American story with deceptions, falsehoods and lies,” Trump stated. “There’s no better example than the … totally discredited 1619 Project.”
The Times attempts to “rewrite(s) American history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom.”
“Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Nikole Hannah-Jones, founder of the 1619 Project, said just days before the anniversary of 9/11, that she believes America is “not an exceptional nation.”
“We’re a nation founded on genocide, and chattel slavery, and classism, and gender discrimination,” Hannah-Jones claimed.
“We’re not [exceptional],” she added. “We had exceptional ideas but we’re not an exceptional nation.”
That’s the kind of material they want your children to learn.
The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Emancipation Proclamation disagree.
“America’s founding set in motion the unstoppable chain of events that abolished slavery, secured civil rights, defeated communism and fascism,” explained Trump.
America, he said, “built the most fair, equal and prosperous nation in human history.”
It is well past time that our educators began teaching students the truth about America, not their own warped, bitter, angry worldview.
