This Waitress Learned the Media Has Been Lying About Trump Supporters!

The media wants to paint Trump supporters as the worst Americans that ever lived. Politicians have been looking down on us, using the name “deplorables,” and painting us as unredeemable bigots or worse. Liberal snowflakes have been terrorizing Trump supporters with reckless abandon because they feel we are the worst of America.

But those labels don’t fit for the millions of voters who supported Trump in November. A great example is what happened when white, male Trump supporters walked into a liberal restaurant in Washington, D.C. just after Trump’s inauguration.

Rosalynd Harris was stunned by what happened:

From Fox News:

A group of men from west Texas entered the restaurant and started to chat with Harris. One of the men, who said he was a dentist, complimented her on her smile. Harris, who is black, told the Post she was admittedly a bit prejudice when the men, who were white, told her they were in town to support Trump.

However, Harris didn’t expect what would come next.

After the men had left, Harris picked up their check and found that they left a heartwarming message and a generous tip. They left Harris a $450 tip on a $72.60 bill. Their message read:

We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!

Harris said she was overwhelmed.

Even the hardest person would seriously have to rethink their position of hate against Trump supporters after reading that note. Harris started off the night never expecting this, and her whole life is now changed for the better.

“You automatically assume if someone supports Trump that they have ideas about you, but [the customer is] more embracing than even some of my more liberal friends, and there was a real authenticity in our exchange,” she told the paper.

Harris added that the message was a great reminder not to make assumptions and that many Americans want the country to come together regardless of politics.

I smile everytime I read that note because someone took the time to capture what so many of us feel. We are not about race or gender, we want to work together to make America great once more and we need everyone to get it done.

We have to push past the politicians and do it ourselves because they don’t know how to do it or they would have by now.
