An Uber driver acted swiftly after a group of pedestrians were shot at near his car in Chicago’s Logan Square. The driver, who has a concealed-carry permit, fired and injured the gunman.
Twenty-two-year-old Everardo Custodio had injuries to his shin, knee and lower back. Custodio was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and illegal possession of a firearm and is being held without bail. Custodio was the only person injured.
The 47 year old Uber driver dropped off a passenger just ten minutes earlier and was sitting in his parked car when the event transpired in front of him. He presented police with his concealed-carry permit and does not face any charges. He also is still an active Uber driver.
