The heartbreaking news out of Sutherland Springs, Texas, continues to pour in. Devin Patrick Kelley, the atheistic murderer, is responsible for killing 26 church attendees. Across the country, Americans are praying for these victims, which sadly include many children.

But one man is offering a better solution to the problem than the typical liberal reaction of stripping citizens of their guns rights.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton offered these words for his fellow Texans over Twitter:

Paxton went on Fox News yesterday to give a more practical solution to the problem of gun violence: Arm the citizenry to fight back. And he went a step further, calling for people attending church to stay armed:

Here’s some of what Paxton said: “All I can say is that in Texas at least we have the opportunity to have concealed carry. And so if it’s a place where somebody has the ability to carry, there’s always the opportunity that gunman will be taken out before he has the opportunity to kill very many people.”

His reasoning makes sense. You can’t keep guns out of the hands of every criminal. Doing so would create a police state. The better solution is to allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves. Liberals advocating for disarming the populace want to create a class of sitting ducks for the next psycho with a rifle to pick off one by one. They couldn’t be more wrongheaded.

But, of course, liberals fumed over Paxton’s suggestion. They let him have it over Twitter:

Tasteful and eloquent criticism, this is.

But seriously: If it were up to liberals, the vast majority of Americans would be left defenseless and at the mercy of insane lawbreakers. This is not a country I want to live in.

Do you agree with Paxton’s proposal? Should more law-abiding Americans be armed, even in church? Tell us your thoughts below and share this story over Facebook now!
