Tammy Duckworth Won’t Rule Out Running For President

In an interview with USA Today, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) would not rule out a possible future campaign for United States president.

In an interview with USA Today, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) refused to rule out a possible future campaign for United States president.

“Maybe if it’s good for the country,” Duckworth said about the prospect.

The senator suggested she could return America to a time when ideals and values were a cherished commodity.

“I think about growing up in Southeast Asia post-Vietnam; everybody wanted to be us,” she said.

“We had these ideals; we had these values, and you could achieve the American dream,” Duckworth continued. “I would want to try to get us back to them. We’re not there now.”

Duckworth Claims She Had a 50-50 Shot at Being Vice President

The USA Today article points out that Duckworth was on President Joe Biden’s shortlist for Vice President.

She had all the right qualifications – not experience, knowledge, or leadership ability, but rather, she is female and not white, which are the only attributes Biden was interested in at the time.

Duckworth said not being chosen was “a disappointment.”

“I went all the way to the end. I had a 50-50 chance of being picked,” she lamented.

The Illinois Democrat made news last week when she suggested she would not vote for any nominees to cabinet or senior posts by President Biden if they were white or straight.

“I am a no vote on the floor, on all non-diversity nominees,” she told reporters. “You know, I will vote for racial minorities and I will vote for LGBTQ, but anybody else I’m not voting for.”

Duckworth later backed away from that threat after receiving assurances from the Biden administration.

Tucker Carlson Once Called Her a ‘Coward’

One thing is certain – Should Tammy Duckworth become President, criticism of her on any level will almost assuredly get you branded as an anti-military racist.

This past summer, Duckworth was asked if the country should be removing statues of founding fathers George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, to which she replied, “I think we should listen to everybody.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson ripped the comments and questioned her patriotism, leading to an outcry by the leftist media.

Carlson, who referred to Duckworth as a “coward” for refusing to discuss the matter on his show, predicted he would be excoriated in the media for daring to challenge her.

He was right.

“It’s long been considered out-of-bounds to question a person’s patriotism. It’s a very strong charge, and we try not ever to make it,” Carlson said of Duckworth’s comments about statues of our founding fathers.

“But in the face of all of this, the conclusion can’t be avoided — these people actually hate America. There’s no longer a question about that.”

“Can you really lead a country that you hate?” he would later ask.

If Duckworth runs for President, we all might find out what a horrible experiment that would be.
