Republican Senator Susan Collins Unsure if Trump Will Be 2020 GOP Nominee

Moderate Republican Senator Susan Collins really isn’t a fan of President Trump.

Not only did she help tank Obamacare repeal efforts, now she’s openly speculating that Donald Trump won’t run for re-election in 2020.

In an interview with MSNBC, she was asked if Trump will be the next Republican nominee for president. Her answer should leave all Trump supporters stunned:

“It’s too difficult to say,” Collins said in an interview with MSNBC on Monday when asked whether she thinks Trump will be the Republican Party’s nominee.

Collins did not support Trump in 2016; instead, she wrote in the name of House Speaker Paul Ryan.

“That was very hard for me to do as a life-long Republican,” Collins said.

Here is the video of her interview:

So Sen. Collins calls herself a life-long Republican?

If Collins wants to call herself a Republican, and run as a Republican, she needs to stand firmly behind President Trump and not waver to appease the liberal press.

Asking if Trump will be the 2020 nominee is a “gotcha” question that doesn’t deserve an answer. It’s a way for the media to sow discord within Republicans and make Trump, by extension, weaker.

Either Collins encourages Trump to run in 2020, or she changes parties to be a Democrat. At a time when Republicans are under fire by the mainstream press, loyalty to the president has never mattered more.
