The FBI has released aerial footage of the shooting of Oregon militiaman LaVoy Finicum, one of several members of a group supportive of controversial rancher Cliven Bundy.

Finicum was clearly trying to evade law enforcement in his vehicle, and even came shockingly close to hitting an agent when he tried to drive around a roadblock.

The video however (which can be seen below), seems to contradict both sides in their pursuit to drive a narrative. Finicum was not, as some have claimed, on his knees with his hands behind his head.

At the same time, he wasn’t charging at troopers and appears to have been shot in the back.

What is clearly shown in this video is that Finicum did have his hands up, but on two separate occasions reached down. The FBI claims he was reaching towards his pocket which contained a loaded weapon. To counter that argument however, some are saying that the officer in front of him fired his weapon and Finicum reached down towards his wounds.

Via Gateway Pundit:

After examining the video it appears as though the following took place:

:08 seconds – LaVoy Finicum strikes an officer who had jumped out infront of Finicum’s vehicle. Perhaps the officer wanted to force Finicum to swerve, or maybe the officer thought the car he was standing in front of was going to be struck by Finicum’s vehicle.

:12 seconds – LaVoy Finicum exits the vehicle with his hands raised high in the air.

:17 seconds – A 2nd officer approaches Finicum from the direction of the downed officer with his weapon drawn.

The 2nd officer stumbles through the snow as he approaches Finicum and his hands move up and down in a way that suggest his weapon may have discharged either intentionally or unintentionally.

Finicum lowers his hands, perhaps to hold his wound, and is shot by a 3rd officer from the left of the screen.

If these observations are accurate, that’s manslaughter at best, murder at worst.

One thing that seems clear is that after being shot, nobody offers Finicum any kind of medical assistance. Nobody even walks over to check on his condition.
