On Tuesday, Sean Spicer gave his first press briefing since President Trump returned from his first overseas trip as president, and what an event it was.
Spicer’s press conferences have become must-see television, and average more than 4 million viewers, as the American people love watching him do battle with the liberal media on a daily basis.
During Tuesday’s event, Spicer’s tough talk returned, and the White House Press Secretary called out “fake news” and false narratives” being pushed by the press, specifically regarding Jared Kushner’s alleged communication with Russian officials.
From The Daily Caller:
“He is frustrated, like I am, and so many others, to see stories that come out that are patently false, to see narratives that are wrong, to see ‘fake news,’” Spicer said. “When you see stories get perpetrated that are absolutely false, that are not based in fact, that is troubling.”
Spicer even volunteered an example of what the administration considers to be fake news — a tweet from a BBC News reporter that claimed Trump was not wearing a listening device as Italian Prime Minster Paolo Gentiloni delivered remarks during his foreign trip last week.
“Friday, the president was having a great discussion at the G7, and someone from the BBC — and ultimately an incoming reporter for the New York Times — said he was being rude by disrespecting the Italian prime minister,” Spicer said. “That’s the kind of thing [they] push out and perpetuate…It’s true.”
“That’s just fake. That is a fake.”

The liberal media is engaged in an all-out war against this White House, and Sean Spicer is rightly tired of having to defend the president from “fake news” stories designed to destroy this administration.
Nearly every day, the liberal media has been peddling the fake story that President Trump colluded with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election. Despite zero proof that such collusion exists, the left continues to push this story, and Sean Spicer is forced to swat down the disinformation.
