SCOTTeVEST Founder Calls Fox News Viewers “Idiots” – Immediately Regrets It

SCOTTeVEST founder Scott Jordan appeared on the popular show Shark Tank to pitch his product in 2012, failing to get a deal, which was based on his own personality. The company founder rejected all offers from the “sharks,” which were as high as $1 million.

By the end of his appearance on the show, all of the show’s investors were visibly agitated. FUBU founder Daymond John threatened to sue him for wasting their time, and pointed out that he was only on the show for publicity, not to actually make a deal. Robert Herjavec only had one question to ask before he left the tank: “What the hell?”

That would be one of many times the man would stick his foot in his mouth when promoting his product.

If you’ve seen Scott Jordan before on TV, it’s much more likely you’ve seen him on Fox News.

If he seemed like a snake from his Shark Tank appearance, just wait until what you hear what he thinks of his largest customer base.

He also had this really dumb idea:

Now, according to Townhall:

Trying to tamp down on the outcry, the company issued the following statement distancing itself from Jordan’s offensive remarks.

The recent offensive and inexcusable social media post by Scott Jordan does not reflect the views of SCOTTeVEST. In 2017, Mr. Jordan stepped down from the management of SCOTTeVEST and he is not involved in our daily operations.

We are extremely sorry for his unacceptable comments. Mr. Jordan’s post was impulsive and inappropriate for too many reasons to list, and rightfully offended so many people.

We strongly disagree with the views expressed by Mr. Jordan.

Jordan himself apologized in a letter posted on Medium.

“To those that I called gullible and idiotic, I am truly sorry,” he said.

While the company claims that Jordan has no role in day-to-day operations, he still retains the titles of “CEO” and “co-founder,” and appears in the company’s ads. He’s obvious still part of the company – and just needs to distance himself from his own brand after shooting himself in the foot.
