Sarah Sanders Fires Back Over Report She’s Leaving White House

One of the absolute stars of this administration, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, is reportedly mulling her departure at the end of the year, something she seems to deny on Twitter.

CBS reports that Sanders, along with principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah, are both “heading for the exits,” citing the moves as further signs of “upheaval” and “turmoil” in the White House.

Sanders has been an admirable force for the President, beating back fake news outlets on a nearly daily basis, putting activists masquerading as journalists like Jim Acosta and April Ryan in their place, and doing it with a strength and charisma few in the position have mastered.

The rumors come just days after communications aide Steven Cheung was announced to be leaving next month. Cheung was one of the last remaining aides from the Trump campaign still working at the White House.

The administration has been considering a purge of the communications team in an effort to combat leaks.

The stories on Sanders and Shah also come as the New York Times has reported on a White House aide allegedly spreading fake inaccurate stories to staffers in an attempt to find out who is leaking to the media.

“At least one senior aide is dropping inaccurate stories into the West Wing rumor mill to identify people who speak to reporters,” the Times reported.

Could this be one of those stories?

Sanders took to social media and mocked CBS News for running “a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me.”

“Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future?” she asked.

Sanders has been a favorite of this website as she combats liberals with a fiery attitude. Some of her most notable moments include her telling Chuck Schumer that if he needs “a little help and guidance getting through big policy negotiations … we’d be happy to send some people over there to explain it to him,” and mocking CNN’s Jim Acosta’s “courage.”
