Breaking news out of Sacramento, California, as three police officers have reportedly been shot. A SWAT team is on the scene.
Residents are being warned to avoid the area.

Here is more information via a local ABC affiliate:
Three officers were shot Wednesday near a Sacramento County motel off Capital City Freeway, and at least two people were detained in connection with the shooting, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two of the officers are with the California Highway Patrol, and the other is with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the CHP confirmed to KCRA. Both officers are alive, but their conditions have not been released.
The shooting happened about noon near the Ramada Inn in the 2600 block of Auburn Boulevard.
