Romney, Kasich ‘Sickened’ by Mueller Report – Trump Fires Back

Senator Mitt Romney and former Ohio governor John Kasich both made claims that the contents of the Mueller report and the alleged behavior of President Trump had made them “sickened.”

Had either one of them demonstrated enough of a spine to claim the previous administration ‘sickened’ them, perhaps they wouldn’t have lost their respective efforts to enter the White House.

But there is something about Trump, however, that really fires up the RINOs.

As per usual, the President didn’t exactly take the criticism lying down either.

Romney ‘Sickened’ and ‘Appalled’

The Senator from Utah offered a statement on social media indicating the contents of the Mueller report – the report which concludes no collusion took place between Russia and the Trump campaign, and which offered no prosecutable evidence of obstruction – left him distraught.

“I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the President,” wrote Romney.

“I am also appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for the president welcomed help from Russia — including information that had been illegally obtained.”

Kasich Also ‘Sickened’

Kasich, who has left the door open to challenge President Trump in a 2020 primary, also took a shot following the Mueller report.

During commentary on the network at which he works, CNN, Kasich used the same talking point as Romney.

“I’m not only disappointed and angry — I’m sickened by all this,” Kasich said.

It’s odd, as nobody seems to recall these two using such specific language when it came to actual scandals, not manufactured ones, out of the Obama White House.

Were they ‘sickened’ when Barack traded five high-ranking terrorists for a traitor in Bowe Bergdahl? Were they ‘sickened’ when guns used by Mexican drug cartels used to kill Americans turned out to have been provided by then-Attorney General Eric Holder? Were they ‘sickened’ when four Americans were killed in Benghazi and the President made his administration tell the American people it was the result of a YouTube video? Were they ‘sickened’ by classified information being hacked from Hillary Clinton’s private email server?

Of course not – such sanctimonious language is reserved for Trump because they believe themselves to be more polished politicians. Do you know where that got them, particularly Romney?

The President explains it best …

What’s Their Motivation?

Kasich has, as we already mentioned, kept his eye on a possible primary run or perhaps an Independent candidacy. He told CNN last week that “all of my options remain on the table.”

Romney, meanwhile, has made it clear that he will not back away from launching verbal attacks at the President.

In a January op-ed for the Washington Post, the Senator indicated Trump had failed to live up to the “mantle” of the presidency, and he would not hesitate to call out any “significant statements or actions that are divisive, racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, dishonest or destructive to democratic institutions” by the President in the future.

The column led one RNC committeeman to conclude Romney was attempting to steal the nomination by using “loophole” in the process.

If Romney or Kasich were so blinded by their hatred of Trump that they would take action to aid the Democrat nominee in 2020 it would leave the rest of America, well … sickened.
