Robert Kennedy Jr., the son and namesake of John F. Kennedy’s brother, slammed the Biden administration for indefinitely postponing the release of remaining records pertaining to the late President’s assassination.
On Friday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre boasted of the conclusion of a review of records from the Kennedy assassination records collection.
“Under President Biden’s leadership agencies have fully declassified over 16,000 records since 2021,” she told reporters at a press briefing late last week.
“This action reflects his instruction that all information related to President Kennedy’s assassination should be released, except when the strongest possible reasons council otherwise,” Jean-Pierre added. “As a result, over 99 percent of the records in the collection are now publicly available at the National Archives.”

Robert Kennedy Slams Memo On Release Of JFK Assassination Files
The problem with the JFK assassination files release is that tucked away in the official memo are reminders that some of the documents will remain heavily redacted or under continued lock and key.
Section Two of the memorandum reminds the public that the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 allegedly allows for continued obstruction of the release of certain files.
They state that the Act “permits the continued postponement of public disclosure of information in records concerning President Kennedy’s assassination only when postponement remains necessary to protect against an identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or the conduct of foreign relations that is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in disclosure.”
To the contrary, the 1992 law required the government to release all documents pertaining to the assassination by October of 2017. Here we are six years past the deadline and Biden is still justifying a continued coverup.
And that’s what Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy took umbrage with, calling the continued obfuscation of the assassination files “unlawful.”
The White House announcement is unlawful. In 1992 the JFK Records Act was passed unanimously by Congress with the promise that all assassination related records would be released no later than October 2017. This promise has broken once again with this midnight announcement.

“It’s not about conspiracy – it is about transparency,” Kennedy tweeted. “In a midnight Friday night announcement the White House has delivered the bad news that President Biden will be maintaining secrecy indefinitely on some JFK assassination-related records.”
He concluded that there could be no identifiable harm to any intelligence operations considering the tragedy took place nearly six decades prior.
“The assassination was 60 years ago. What national security secrets could possibly be at risk?” he wondered. “What are they hiding?”

Was JFK Murdered by Our Own Government?
Avid readers of The Political Insider already know what “they” are hiding. We have extensively covered several prominent media and political figures who believe the American government – particularly the CIA – was involved in the Kennedy assassination.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson argues that President Richard Nixon was removed from office (Watergate) because he specifically knew the CIA was involved in the assassination and was asking too many questions.

“On June 23, 1972, Nixon met with the then–CIA director, Richard Helms, at the White House,” Carlson explained. “During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew ‘who shot John,’ meaning President John F. Kennedy.”

“Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy’s assassination, which we now know it was,” he added. “Helms’s telling response? Total silence.”

Four of the five burglars in the Watergate scandal worked for the CIA.
The CIA wouldn’t dare take down a sitting President, would they? Oh wait, we only have to look as far back as the past several years to witness the metaphorical political assassination of Donald Trump.
Ron Paul, the former Republican presidential candidate and libertarian icon, like Carlson and Kennedy, has some interesting takes on the JFK assassination.
In fact, Paul has flat-out stated that JFK was “murdered by our government.”
The father of Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) suggests that a government coup took place long before the one we’ve seen unfold before our eyes in the Trump era.
“And I want to if I can, I want to just put the date in my mind, and anybody could pick probably any date in the last hundred years. But I have picked November 22, 1963,” he said in a recent podcast.
When asked by the interviewer what that date symbolizes, Paul replied: “That was the day Kennedy was murdered by our government. You know, by the CIA.”

Former President Trump, like Biden, delayed disclosures from the Kennedy files on several occasions, citing advice from the FBI, CIA, and other intelligence agencies. Agencies that can not, and should not, ever be trusted.
Trump did release tens of thousands of documents, but they remained heavily redacted.
Roger Stone, a former aide to Trump, has said he was told by the Republican presidential candidate that some of the Kennedy assassination documents are “so horrible you wouldn’t believe it.”

A spokesperson for Robert Kennedy’s campaign told Newsweek that the public “will never know for sure” what happened and reiterated the fact that there are no plausible national security concerns to keep some documents hidden or redacted.
“The American people deserve to know their own history,” he argued.
The problem is nobody in the highest levels of government believes that.
