Rep. Rashida Tlaib believes critics of her colleague Ilhan Omar’s comments trivializing the 9/11 terrorist attacks are simply “racist.”
The Michigan congresswoman vociferously defended Omar who described an act that killed thousands of Americans as simply “some people did something.”
She made the detestable comments at a California fundraiser for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), where she also incited Muslims to “raise hell,” and “make people uncomfortable.”
In an interview with MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson, Tlaib said Omar was simply speaking the truth about the attack and that anyone who disagrees with that characterization is a bigot.
“They do this all the time to us, especially women of color, they do that, they take our words out of context because they’re afraid, because we speak truth, we speak truth to power,” Tlaib falsely claimed.
Outraged? Then You’re Racist
Describing the Minnesota Democrat as “my sister Ilhan Omar,” Tlaib insisted that the comments were taken out of context.
“This is just pure racist act by many of those, hateful acts, by those because she does speak truth, when it talks about different issues that they don’t disagree with and I’m really outraged,” she seethed.
Democrat Rashida Tlaib is DEFENDING Ilhan Omar’s anti-American rhetoric about 9/11.
She says anyone who criticizes Omar is “racist.”
Her message? “We speak truth!”

Democrats Need to Explain
The Democrat party needs to find a way to eject these extreme anti-American lawmakers from their ranks or the President and GOP are going to celebrate an easy victory come 2020.
Voters will not tolerate being labeled racist. We learned that in 2016 when every Trump supporter was branded as such. And they sure as hell won’t tolerate a party that accepts people that downplay the worst terrorist attack ever conducted on American soil.
Tlaib’s comments mean the entire New York Post editorial board is ‘racist,’ having called Omar’s comments “shocking” and “pathetic.”

Also racist in her eyes, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a war hero who fought three tours of duty in Afghanistan and called Omar’s dismissal of the 9/11 attacks “unbelievable.”
Not to mention you, the reader.
Steve Guest, Rapid Response Director for the RNC, wants to know if Democrats support Omar’s comments and Tlaib’s defense.
“Are Democrat Party leaders still going to remain silent while disgusting views about 9/11 are promoted by members of their party?” he asked in an email blast.
You know they will.
