After Motherf***** Comment, Rashida Tlaib in Hot Water Again – Accused of Anti-Semitism by Marco Rubio!
Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib found herself in hot water again following her “motherf*****” comment regarding President Donald Trump. This time, Tlaib is accused of anti-Semitism by Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
Tlaib took to Twitter to dispute a bill that would “provide more leeway for state and local governments to refuse to do business with entities that have a policy of boycotting, divesting, and/or sanctioning Israel,” according to the Washington Examiner’s Phil Klein.
Tlaib opposed the bill, claiming that “this is the U.S. where boycotting is a right & part of our historical fight for freedom & equality.”
They forgot what country they represent. This is the U.S. where boycotting is a right & part of our historical fight for freedom & equality. Maybe a refresher on our U.S. Constitution is in order, then get back to opening up our government instead of taking our rights away. https://t.co/KkmqjR58ZM

Senator Marco Rubio would call out Tlaib, explaining that her opposition of the bill is a “typical anti-Semitic line.” He would paint a clear picture using Tlaib’s own words and logic, pointing out that “if boycotting Israel is constitutionally protected, then boycotting companies that boycott Israel is also constitutionally protected.”
This “dual loyalty” canard is a typical anti-Semitic line#BDS isn’t about freedom & equality, it’s about destroying #Israel
And if boycotting #Israel is constitutionally protected, then boycotting companies that boycott #Israel is also constitutionally protected https://t.co/6yBM0bQB5L

Senator Rubio would also point out that Tlaib is a supporter of the BDS movement, which is an acronym for Boycott-Divestment-Sanction.
According to the BDS Movement website, the movement’s goal is to “end international support for Israel’s oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with International law.” They add that “Israel is occupying and colonising Palestinian land, discriminating against Palestinian citizens of Israel and denying Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes.” The website states that one of the advocates’ main goals is to end “military trade, free-trade agreements”, and to expel “Israel from international forums such as the UN and FIFA.”
Tlaib made her support of the BDS movement clear in an interview with The Intercept. She stated, “I personally support the BDS movement.” She also believes that economic boycotts can bring attention to “issues like the racism and the international human rights violations by Israel right now.”
Not only is Tlaib a proud supporter of the BDS movement, but as Ashely Rae Goldenberg points out, Tlaib is actually guilty of what she is accusing others of. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Tlaib stated she would be a “voice” for her family members that are still living in the West Bank. “I’m going to be a voice for them,” Tlaib stated.
You have some very interesting priorities for someone to accuse other people of representing a foreign government. pic.twitter.com/LWJlgS21LH

This isn’t the first time Tlaib has been accused of anti-Semitism. Tlaib’s newly furnished congressional office in Washington, D.C., has a world map with a Post-it Note that reads, “Palestine.” The Post-it Note covers up the entire country of Israel.
Tlaib might not be the only member of the Democrat Party who supports the BDS movement; a movement, many, like Senator Rubio, believe is about destroying Israel.
Senator Rubio revealed that the Democrat Party is trying to avoid debate on the anti-BDS bill because a “significant # of Senate Democrats now support #BDS & Dem leaders want to avoid a floor vote that reveals that.”
The shutdown is not the reason Senate Democrats don’t want to move to Middle East Security Bill.
A huge argument broke out at Senate Dem meeting last week over BDS. A significant # of Senate Democrats now support #BDS & Dem leaders want to avoid a floor vote that reveals that.

What do you make of Tlaib’s recent comments? Do you think her rhetoric is anti-Semitic? Do you think she’s being a hypocrite by insinuating her colleagues are un-American while declaring she will be a voice for Palestinians?
