It’s rare to find singers or actors who are brave enough to defy the liberal entertainment industry by publicly supporting the former President Donald Trump. That’s why it came as a welcome surprise when the rapper known as Sexyy Red did just that in a new interview, and she’s not the only rapper throwing her support behind the former president.

Sexyy Red Backs Trump

While appearing on the “This Past Weekend” podcast with the comedian Theo Von, Sexyy Red said that Trump has more support “in the hood” than the media would have the public believe. She said this after Von jokingly brought up Trump while the two of them talked about other “sexy reds” like Clifford the Big Red Dog.

“I like Trump. They support him in the hood,” Sexyy Red said in response.

“At first I don’t think people was f—ing with him,” she continued. “They thought he was racist, saying little sh– against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aw, baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office. We need him back because, baby, them checks. Them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you.”

Not stopping there, Sexyy Red proceeded to praise Trump for being “funny.”

“I love Trump. He funny to me,” she concluded. “I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. He funny. We need people like him.”

Yahoo News reported that Sexyy Red became a viral sensation earlier this year with her hit song “Pound Town,” and she currently has 1.3 million and 2.2 million followers on TikTok and Instagram respectively. She spent the summer touring with Drake and 21 Savage, serving as their opening act.

Other Rappers Back Trump

Sexyy Red isn’t the only rapper who has publicly backed Trump in recent weeks, as after the former president was indicted, he received a wave of support from various others rappers as well. The New York Post reported that the Chicago rapper Badman Kevo took to Instagram to reveal to his 3 million followers that he’d tattooed Trump’s mugshot onto his leg.

“Make America rich Again or Sleepy Joe,” he said afterwards.

“Biden … actually got me paying a lot of taxes,” Kevo later added on the We in Miami podcast. “Actually, this is my second Trump tattoo.”

Kevo then credited Trump for getting him out of jail “six months early” after he did time for bank fraud.

Buffalo rapper Benny the Butcher took to social media back in August to say, “I’m voting Trump 2024.”

YG, a rapper who rose to fame with his anti-Trump protest anthem “F—k Donald Trump,” said that same month that the “black community” has had a change of heart about the former president.

“I ain’t going to lie, bro, the black community is not f–king with Trump, but when this PPP s—t and all that s—t came out, black people forgave him,” YG said. “I’m speaking about these mothf—kers in the hood. I am speaking on their behalf. This is what they say. ‘s—t, Biden ain’t did nothing for us, that n—a Trump is passing out money.”

Trump May Utilize These Rappers

One source close to Trump said that he expects to see the former president use these rappers to help garner him some street cred with black voters heading into the next election.

“Now rappers are back to where they were with him pre-running for president which was as a cool rich guy,” the source said. “He spends money like rappers spend money. he has gold toilets. I think they saw a kindred spirit in him.”

Meanwhile, polls have shown that President Joe Biden has consistently struggled with non-white voters.

Perhaps Democrats will finally realize that they took their witch hunt against Trump way too far, as it appears to be just getting him more support. Only time will tell how this all turns out.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
