The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), whose mission is to ’empower future generations of African-Americans toward equality and achievement,’ apparently doesn’t consider the lone black Supreme Court justice to be a role model for their agenda.
In fact, they’re downright “disappointed” that Clarence Thomas is “a black man who is the most conservative member of the court.”
In discussing the CBC’s disappointment that President Obama had nominated a white judge to replace Justice Antonin Scalia, Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, one of 45 Democrats on the 46-member caucus, could barely hide her disdain.
Well now, that’s a whole bunch of racism in one sentence – dismay at a white man being nominated, and a complete dislike for the African-American Justice:

In an interview on “MSNBC Live” with Jose Diaz-Balart on Friday, Holmes Norton lamented, “Remember, the only black we have on the court is a black man who is the most conservative member of the court.”
Diaz-Balart said, “I understand members of the Congressional Black Caucus met at the White House yesterday with Valerie Jarrett. What did you guys talk about?”
“Well, she briefed us on the president’s nominee. Look, you’re right. There were some members saying that this was probably the president’s last time to nominate, who thought that maybe we could get a black woman. Remember, the only black we have on the court is a black man who is the most conservative member of the court. So there was some disappointment.”
To repeat, there’s disappointment that “the only black we have on the court is a black man who is the most conservative.”
Proving definitively that liberals have no interest in furthering the cause of empowering African-Americans to achieve equality – they only wish to empower more liberals.
