Here is Sen. Marco Rubio in an extensive interview on “Fox News Sunday” with Chris Wallace today. Rubio did a great job, and would not give in to Wallace’s attempts to make him answer the media’s favorite ridiculous hypothetical question on the Iraq War – “If we knew then what we know now…” Rubio insisted that can never happen. No President makes decisions based on what is known in the future – EXACTLY! That’s why I didn’t think Jeb Bush did a bad job in his interview with Megyn Kelly last week.
He refused to answer the question posed, and instead pointed out that Hillary Clinton supported the war in Iraq, too, based on the intelligence known AT THE TIME. That’s really all that matters. I think the American people are smart enough to understand that.

The media is trying to make something of this. Rubio showed himself to be a grownup on Foreign Policy by refusing to join the media pile-on with the “if we had known then what we know now” mantra.
