The cost of groceries across the board has skyrocketed due to inflation. Real wages for American workers are down while families struggle to make it to their next paycheck. Gas prices remain 66% higher than what they were when Joe Biden was inaugurated.
It’s been a struggle for the American people ever since the pandemic and when Biden took office.
And a recent poll from Fox News reflects that fact.
“Large majorities rate the economy negatively, fail to see signs of a recovery, and are generally unhappy with the way things are going in the country,” they remarked on the latest numbers.
According to the survey, a whopping 75% of Americans are currently dissatisfied with the direction of the country.
It should be noted, that this isn’t one of those highly partisan polls in which one party is skewing the numbers with an overwhelming response.
There is bipartisan dissatisfaction in the Biden Era.
In fact, a major source of the rise in numbers of those dissatisfied with the direction of the country comes from Democrats – 56% of which now join the rest of America with their gloomy outlook.
That is up 14 points from just May and 36 points from roughly the year before.
The percentage of Republicans dissatisfied with the direction of the country has remained steady, sitting at 85% currently.
Independents have followed a similar path to the Democrats, seeing their dissatisfaction rise to an incredible 91%. It’s hard to imagine Democrats having any electoral success moving forward with so many discontented independent voters.
It would seem the White House spin on how the economy is ‘actually’ really good right now isn’t working with Americans of any political persuasion.
The latest poll shows the American people aren’t buying what the President is selling by any stretch.
And the White House has been absolutely raving about gas prices coming down despite still being considerably higher than drivers ever had to deal with under the previous President.
Reality in this poll should smack those claims in the face.
81% of those surveyed give the economy negative marks, while 59% rate their personal finances as only fair or poor.
Following the 2020 presidential election, Biden vowed to “rebuild the backbone of this nation, the middle class and to make America respected around the world again, and to unite us here at home.”
He has definitely united us – Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all are dissatisfied with the direction of the country under his leadership.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
