A man hired by the Pentagon to be their “diversity and inclusion” officer has been reassigned amidst a probe into controversial social media posts – including one where he compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.
Richard Torres-Estrada has been under investigation by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) after his posts came to light during a report by Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Torres-Estrada, according to a Pentagon spokesman, has been “assigned to other duties pending the results of the investigation.”
He has not been fired and the report seems to indicate the reassignment could be temporary if they find the posts did not violate any specific protocol.

Pentagon Inclusion Officer ‘Reassigned’
The controversy surrounding Torres-Estrada began when USSOCOM announced that he would be serving as the Pentagon’s new “Chief of Diversity and Inclusion.”
Research by Fox News personality Tucker Carlson showed he had promoted controversial messages on Facebook, including posts showing “an attack on the police” and “crude BLM propaganda.”
Carlson went on to explain that Torres-Estrada’s Facebook page also includes “a picture of Donald Trump holding a Bible in front of a church.”
“Next to Trump is a photograph of Adolf Hitler,” Carlson explained. “The point is, they’re the same. So, this is the guy who now oversees hiring for the SEALs.”
Yes, the Pentagon’s ‘inclusion officer’ equates Trump and his supporters with a genocidal maniac. And the Defense Department couldn’t do the same level of background check by a Fox News host to figure out why that might not have been a good idea.
The Biden DOD is squandering and misdirecting resources on a political vendetta. Mr. Torres-Estrada will be replaced, but the divisive mission will continue. https://t.co/TMu3WrUnqD

The Image Was Doctored
Worse, Torres-Estrada’s judgment was further questioned because, not only is comparing the former president to a man who executed millions of people reprehensible, but the image he used to make that comparison was doctored.
“The image of Adolf Hitler was doctored so that it looks like he’s holding a book in a similar pose to Donald Trump,” Politifact writes.
Stop sharing that photo of Hitler holding a bible — it’s doctored. https://t.co/0FkFBM7W45

The post from the newly reassigned Pentagon ‘inclusion officer’ has since been removed from Torres-Estrada’s Facebook page.
Ken McGraw, a spokesman for USSOCOM, declined to comment further on the investigation.
“The Commander has directed an investigation to look into the facts surrounding Mr. Torres-Estrada’s selection,” said McGraw. “It would be inappropriate to comment on specifics until the evaluation is complete.”
Carlson blasted the military for trying to become as woke as many college campuses across the country.
“If you’re wondering whether our military leadership has gone woke, consider that question settled for good,” he said after mentioning Torres-Estrada’s Hitler post.
“The Pentagon is now the Yale faculty lounge, but with cruise missiles. That should concern you.”
