The vice presidential debate Wednesday night in Salt Lake City will be compared favorably to the first presidential debate because it wasn’t a screaming match. But unlike that first presidential debate, it was a Republican night from start to finish.
As predicted, Mike Pence clobbered Kamala Harris. Even a CBS pundit agreed that Pence was “masterful.”

Pence Overcomes Harris And Biased Moderator
Notwithstanding an absurdly biased moderator (which begs the question of why Republicans agree to these Democrat propagandists), Pence, in a perfect display of political jujitsu, deftly turned biased questions into attacks on Harris and Biden.
Every time Harris or the moderator tried to nail him he smoothly slipped away and turned the foray back on them. Harris for her part was nervous, hesitant, stuttering, and missed several opportunities to hit Pence.

This may be because he was killing her with kindness thus disarming her attack instinct. That she fell for such an obvious ploy by Pence does not say a lot about her debating abilities.
It began with airhead leftist moderator Susan Page asking the audience for “karma.” Dear God, are there any grownups left in the major media? Throughout the evening Page pitched questions to both candidates predicated upon every leftist premise in the book.
But Pence did not take the bait. He just ignored the questions and went on a pivot attack. Bloody brilliant. That’s the way it’s done.
Harris was rattled early on and showed it, as her voice broke and her tone wavered. Her smug smile did her no favors with female voters and she constantly resorted to squeaky emotional pieties. Pence used his dulcet tones to lull her to sleep with soft compliments and sideways praise. Then, he struck.
Pence Goes On The Attack
Pence hits Biden on plagiarism. No response from Harris. He said she’s undermining work on a vaccine. No response from Harris.
He destroys Biden on Iran nuke deal, palates of cash for Iran, and Biden’s opposition to Bin Laden raid. No response from Harris. He hits her on her anti-Catholicism. No response from Harris.
He turns the tables on a Breonna Taylor question and obliterates Harris on the riots. She weakly answers with almost frightened reasoning.
And on the penultimate question on election integrity, Pence annihilates her by bringing up Russian hoax as coup attempt and throwing Hillary’s recent comments on not conceding right back in Harris’ face.
She seemed to be waiting for the moderator to bail her out. But Pence didn’t give Page enough space to do it. He corralled them both by answering his own version of any question and launching preemptive rhetorical attacks every time the opportunity arose.

Harris Flounders
What did she talk about? She said she was “panicked” over toilet paper. She insanely criticized the Soleimani operation. She held up California as a model for the rest of America.
She said foreign policy was really about “relationships.” Given her personal history, the derisive laughter could be heard from coast to coast on that one.
Neither candidate obeyed the time limits, but it was nowhere near as bad as Cleveland. At the end of the night Biden shills fanned out and dutifully called Harris the winner.
But they knew better, just couldn’t admit it in public. Debating two opponents, as Trump also did, Pence cleaned her clock.
He absolutely humiliated her and her campaign. America knows it and Joe Biden knows it. Thus Thursday morning will not be a bright one for Kamala Harris.
