Paul McCartney of the legendary band “The Beatles” just defied the PC liberal entertainment industry by courageously calling out China over the coronavirus, which has ravaged the world after originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

During an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, McCarney demanded that China crack down on the wet markets where COVID-19 originated, and that other celebrities join him in pressuring them to do so.

“I really hope that this will mean that the Chinese government — like you say they’ve got power, it’s not like they’re powerless — let’s hope they say, ‘OK, guys, we have really got to get super hygienic around here.’ And all those kinds of things. Let’s face it, it is a little bit medieval eating bats,” McCartney said.

This interview came after the Chinese government allowed wet markets to reopen and Wuhan and other cities. The iconic singer cited this as why it’s more important than ever for celebrities to call on Beijing to close these wet markets forever.

“It is a very good idea,” McCartney said. “They don’t need all the people dying. And what’s it for? Just for these quite medieval practices. They just need to clean up their act… who knows, this might lead to it. If this doesn’t, I don’t know what will.”

“They might as well be letting off atomic bombs, because it’s affecting the whole world,” he added. “It’s like, whoever is responsible for this is at war with the world and itself.”

Not stopping there, McCartney concluded by saying that the Chinese government needs to make sure their people change with the times.

“They did slavery forever too, and you know, you gotta change things at some point,” he said.

This comes days after leftwing HBO host Bill Maher issued a similar call to China, describing wet markets as “the farmer’s market from hell.” He also called on the communist regime in China to use their absolute power to good use by finally shutting down the markets forever.

It’s ridiculous that liberals have become so obsessed with political correctness that they don’t even want to hold China responsible for what they have done to the rest of the world. The least that should be done right now is the closure of the wet markets, but if the western left gets their way, this will never happen.
