On Monday, pro-gun Parkland survivor Kyle Kashuv was interrogated by school security because he visited a gun range with his father. Two days later, a teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School reportedly used 10 minutes of class time to rant against Kashuv and compared him to – who else? – Hitler.
Kashuv tweeted late Wednesday afternoon that one of his friends had called and informed him that history teacher Greg Pittman “compared me to Hitler in class and said I am a piece of crap.” Kashuv also revealed that Pittman – who has repeatedly targeted Kashuv on social media – was told by the school not to “Tweet at” him anymore.
So… I just got a call from a friend of mine from @GregPittman1957‘s class and he apparently compared me to Hitler in class and said I am a piece of crap. The rant was about 10-minutes during class time and how he was right and I was wrong with my comments…

and that the school said he can’t Tweet at me anymore, yet… he did. Oh well. Guess he is a vile moron.

According to Kashuv’s friend, who spoke to The Daily Wire but wished to remain anonymous, “Pittman stated that posting photos from a gun range would get you into trouble, and then went on to ‘compare Kyle to Hitler in terms of what he believes.'”
Pittman confirmed on Twitter that he said it was “not bright to post photos of a gun on social media,” but he neither confirmed nor denied that he compared Kashuv to Hitler.
I have had fun tonight being attacked since I pointed out why it might be a bad idea to post photos with am assault weapon by a Douglas high Student after the mass shooting we experienced and why the sheriff might check it out. While I do own 2 guns, the far right attacks me lol

However, a second classmate of Kashuv’s also spoke with The Daily Wire and specifically said that Pittman called Kashuv “the next Hitler”:
I was in class on April 25th with Gregory Pittman and near the end of class the discussion led to Kyle Kashuv’s tweet about going to the gun range. Pittman expressed that he could not speak badly about Kyle because he was specifically told by the administration not to. Pittman began talking about what an ass Kyle was and called him “the next Hitler” and said that he was “dangerous” and something needed to be done about him.
This is unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable behavior on behalf of a teacher. Unfortunately, educators have been imposing their personal political beliefs on students for decades, but using class time to go on a hate-filled rant against a student should be grounds for suspension, if not termination. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School would be remiss not to take some sort of action against Pittman.
