President Obama, our narcissist-in-chief, proved once again that everything – EVERYTHING – is about him.

No matter the time, no matter the place, no matter what or who is being honored, the only thing that matters to Obama is Obama.

Nowhere is that more obvious than yesterday, when a Department of Defense official confirmed that a moment of silence timed to coincide with the exact moment terrorists crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001 was moved up because President Obama had grown impatient.

Via the Daily Caller:

A moment of silence remembering the September 11 victims at a Pentagon memorial service began early in order to accommodate a restless President Obama, a Department of Defense official told The Daily Caller.

A source close to the situation told TheDC that Obama arrived early to the memorial service — which took place at the Pentagon — and wanted to get things started early.

A Department of Defense official confirmed that the moment of silence was moved up a few minutes and that Obama was the one who made the decision, saying the president “moved early.”

The moment of silence was originally slotted to take place at 9:37 AM — the time at which the Pentagon was attacked on September 11 — but ended up taking place a few minutes early.

During his speech to honor those who died on 9/11, Obama wondered “How do we preserve the legacy of those we lost?”

You can start by having enough common sense to wait a few minutes to observe a moment of silence at the proper time.

Power Line Blog writes, “If, as reported, Obama moved up the moment of silence because he was restless, I say he did not ‘live up to the example’ of ‘those we lost.'”

President Obama has no interest in preserving the legacy of those lost on 9/11, he’s only interested in preserving his own legacy.
